If you repair your computer using Reimage, it will also remove the virus.

Reimage will restore your system without affecting your data or programs.

Most likely you still have your virus. Format and new install would take care of that.
Why not just use any of several free av software downloads on the web or a free scan on-line.

    Good Luck

No, the repair CD is not anti-virus software, but the installer will not be infected because it is on a read-only CD.

Well if you reformat your computer’s Operating system then it’s really remove everything including your files on the computer. System repair will only repair the damage that the virus had made on the system. That is being done if you can’t access the desktop of your computer. The situation you’ll do that is when you are having a blue screen and the computer restarts when you are almost on the desktop system. So if you have reformat you computer’s system virus won’t be there anymore. But if you have a partition on the computer it not still safe if you didn’t run a scan on it as well. Because the partition may have also been infected with a virus and you need to scan it as well.
