My birthday is next month, and I am looking into purchasing a new laptop. I have narrowed it down to the two companies who can offer the best for the money: Sony and Apple. I know that both companies are fantastic in their success, but both the Vaio and Macbook have everything I need. The only thing about the Vaio is that it uses Microsoft’s Windows Vista, and I hate Microsoft. I would rather not have to worry about viruses or hacks, since Apple has great security. I have no idea! Please help me! Btw, I want a newish model (nothing old) and I love black and/or glossy products.

First of all… I hate Microsoft too!
Now, to answering your question.
a> We hate Ms, but there are applications (if u’r into gaming – Macs out) that’ll run only on a windows environment, so if you have any such limitations, then you’ll have to go in for the Vaio, (though there are ways to load Windows onto a Mac, but it has it’s limitations)
b> Have you ever worked on a Mac OS X before? It’s very easy to use, but then again, having a familiar OS does have it’s advantages(like ur next door neighbour being able to solve ur prob, rather than waiting for customer care or replies on a forum)
Work these 2 questions out, and u’ll hav ur answer…
HP Pavillion dv6000 is a really good laptop
but it also depends on what you are looking the laptop for
but the laptop i just mentioned is a great all-around laptop
Apple computers are easier to use for people who aren’t good with technology, but they’re more expensive and all-around worse hardware-wise. Windows is the other way around. You have to know how to use a computer and not click around like a moron or else you’re going to get thousands of viruses. In return you get a better deal and your computer will be more powerful.
Hp rule’s!
