Ok help me out the brands and or specifications here.
I possibly might take my laptop to school. It would be used for papers and research (ms office). Also I like watching videos and doing social networking. I need maybe 8GB for music storage (media players). Maybe storage for 100 photos a year (photo editing software). I typically like adding a few games as well. I’d like to stick with Microsoft OS. Of course printers and virus software, and then some room for anything else I might want later. I want speed and durability, and of course not to go broke buying the thing.
Anything else you need to know?
Ok so what are you suggestions?

Sounds like the MSI Wind u100 would be a fantastic choice for you.

http://www.dell.com Inspiron 15
I recently bought the Acer Aspire 5515.
it’s got a 160 GB hard drive and a 15.4 inch screen. it runs all my music programs and holds all the music i have (500+ songs) as well as all my photos and programs. it doesn’t lag with all the stuff i have on it and it only ran me $375 USD after taxes.
i’ve read reviews of this laptop that say they are great for school work and internet. its a full size for the price of a netbook.
Personally I would get a MacBook from Apple. They never get viruses and they have photo shop. If you want a small laptop you should think about the MacBook Air or a laptop that can take a beating like the MacBook Pro with its single piece aluminum body. I would definately get a Mac. Mac > PC
