Which is the best anti virus for laptop if i am purchasing one and also tell me which is the best free anti virus?
I have purchased a laptop recently and concerned about protecting it from the virus.
For my desktop computer I have been using AVIRA anti virus free version. Before that I have used Avast free home version. Both were ok because I didn’t find any significant difference.
Since laptop is more sensitive that desktop computer plz tell me about best paid anti virus and also best free anti virus.
I am planning to buy an anti virus but heard that different anti virus have different limitation. No single anti virus can ensure 100% security. Please comment about that too.

There are many good free antivirus software programs out there you can use.
If you want a good basic install and forget type antivirus (good for basic knowledge computer users), then I recommend:
AVG Free Edition V8 Antivirus

If you want an antivirus with a few more features and more control (for average – advance users), then I recommend:
Avast Home Edition 4.8

For anti-malware and anti-spyware, use these free programs:
Malwarebytes:

Super Anti Spyware:

I reccomend AVG, you are correct though, no single, in fact, no antivirus program can ensure perfect security, good viruses mutate just like real viruses, and even heureustical analysis cant detect them all, but AVG by Grisoft is my Free Anti Virus of Choice. While i believe they are the best free, i do not subscribe, however, i have read in a magazine awhile ago, that Trend Micro is the best paid one.
don’t get on a lot of website
Ok. So there is an easy way to solve your problem. On my laptop I use Norton Anti Virus. It is an exellent way to keep viruses away. Whenever you get on an unsafe website, it informs you by the pop-up blocker right below your toolbar, and you can choose whether you trust that website or not by clicking the "x" on the far left.
And also be careful what websites you go on and what videos you watch. Sometimes people hide viruses in videos that you watch online. Just go to the website I have put below this and sign up! Hope I helped!
With all the valuable content at stake if your system is compromised, it’s a good idea to focus on security.
You definitely need an updated Internet security suite, but don’t forget that need to eliminate new vulnerabilities as they come up. Always keep your Windows software updated http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com/ In addition, you’ve got to make sure that all of your programs — including Adobe Acrobat Reader, Flash, iTunes, Quicktime and RealPlayer– are patched and protected. This is usually a complicated and time-consuming process, but our Health Check makes it easy http://www.f-secure.com/en_US/security/security-center/health-check/ Internet Explorer only.
As soon as you can, you should try out a new Internet security suite that includes antivirus, anti-spam and firewall. You can always try F-Secure Internet Security 2010, free for 30 days at http://www.f-secure.com
Get A Good Anti-Virus Program Like Mcafee.
Hi,
I work in I.T. and I have heard all the horror stories about Norton, Mc Afee or what ever they are called, and all the other bogus ones out there.
I use AVG internet security which is both firewall and antivirus.
When I bought it it was £39 which is nothing.
Question – if you were to have brain surgery and you had 2 choices – one for £9.99 lunchtime special or the other for £25,000 private medical care from the top surgeon – which one would you chose?
It is a sad but true fact, that you get what you pay for in this world.
Dont bother with the freebies
