i prefer you to buy Mcafee anti virus software.its detects most of the viruses and trojans..another option is antivir whose performance is above average

I used to have Norton but it had caused my computer to slow down considerably. For the past 3 years, I’ve been using the free AVG with no problems whatsoever (knock on wood). Yeah, it’s free and it works better than any of the ones you have to pay money for.

Of course, I’m assuming you’re talking about home computer. If you’re using it for business, AVG has a business version that you do have to pay for but it’s worth the money in order to protect business dealings.

    Hi,
If your looking for total security with ID protection and to keep your PC running good. i suggest to use AVG internet security 8.5.

updates are good so all there is to do is install and the rest is AVG.

    Thanx

ive used 5 different ones over five years.. seriously I dont use any now.. the reason is the NEWER trojans and virusus can be removed manually and they dont detect ANY OF these with Norton, Macafee and or Avast. Stick with a freebie. Uninstall and reinstall it frequently.. No one at norton or macafee addresses these NEWER issues and you spend alot of money and cant defend yourself. Just do a FULL FDISK Recovery more frequently . and sometimes that doesnt even wipe it out!

I have used Zone Alarm Firewall, I have also got superantispyware and Malwarebytes. They are all free for personal use and I have had no trouble with Viruses Trojans Hackers etc. I have just changed to Avast antivirus and all seems good so far. Zone Alarm allows a lot of personal configuration unlike the Windows Firewall. They can all be downloaded from http://www.download.com/ I also use Windows Defender from the Microsoft site. It is safe to use two anti-spy products but never use more than one A/V as it can cause conflicts. You should run A/V and anti spy weekly. Hope this helps

The best AV is not free! Look for a commercial product with high ratings like Kaspersky, ESET, or A-Squared.

    Check out Spyhunter here:

Remember to always keep your antivirus and anti-spyware applications up to date and fully functional.

Feel free to check out the free trial version of Kaspersky here:

    Good luck!
