The truth is that it’s better to buy a USB external hard drive and either Norton Ghost or Acronis True Image and clone your hard drive once a week.

If you get a virus you can restore the hard drive image and the virus will be gone.

I’m in IT, and I quit using anti-virus software several years ago, because all to often the virus you get is new and the anti-virus program doesn’t have a definition for it….or, the anti-virus program can only detect portions of the virus and doesn’t remove all of it. This will cause your system to be unstable and get weird errors all of the time.

Spyware Doctor employee stole my identity. I had a phone altercation with a Spyware Doctor employee in Sydney Australia over a billing dispute. After an unsatisfactory verbal exchange, she then proceeded to use all the personal information she had at her disposal in her capacity as an employee to begin a barrage of identity theft from her PCTools computer. Spyware Doctor employees in the Australia call center did not give me corporate information as to where to report this theft of my identity. Their Legal Counsel finally admitted it was their employee. When I threatened to make this information public, their Australian legal counsel inferred threatening language. I still even have PCTools products on my credit card!
