I’m planning to buy a new laptop. I have never used Mac. I just know that it’s more expensive than Windows , and it less risky when it comes to viruses.
I’d like to have a little change.
Do you think that Mac is a right choice?
Can you explain to me the advantages and the disadvantages of this OS?

It will have all the advantages windows has if you dual-boot it in your Mac.
The only disadvantage that Mac really has is it crappy firewall and limited choices for third-party firewalls. Without a good firewall hackers can sneak a peek of your computers private info; However if you activate macs firewall and connect your computer to a router (with a build in firewall) it should be pretty secure. Another disadvantage to a Mac is that you can’t really upgrade your hardware components other than RAM.
If you decide to dual-boot Windows on a Mac then the Windows OS inside the mac will be open to all the junk (viruses, spyware, etc.) that harm regular Windows users; It will not however harm the Mac OS on your computer.
I’ve personally only used PC’s. I think it is a myth that a Mac is less risky then running Windows, you just have to know what you are doing. In the 7 years that I’ve run XP and Vista, I’ve only had 2 viruses and they were both my fault.
They had a competition between hackers to see what could be hacked fastest, a mac, a windows pc, or a pc with linux on it. The Mac went down first, then the PC and nobody could hack the Linux machine (maybe because hackers didn’t want to).
Macs can’t get viruses. they much better. never slow..etc. they are a really good investment. they come with a built in web cam as well wich is really great and fun. you can take videos and chat with your friends. its really fun!
