I am a computer Tech and if the owner of the computer does not have anti virus and does not want to pay for it I download Microsoft Security Essentials the BEST FREE Anti Virus and it’s from Windows?Microsoft

freeware software utilities for removing viruses are very good for removing malware and I have personally seen and found malwarebytes installed after having my pc serviced last year, which is a freebie. Since this occured I have kept the program and with a little more investigation have included, Avast home edition and Superantispyware to help in keeping my pc clean. I have not needed to service my pc as yet.

There are many software designed to be free, so it’s of course legal. For virus removal you could try avast! & AVG, Both freeware.
For tune-up, use ccleaner or Tuneup utilities(not free but good)
