I got a virus on my laptop that is driving me crazy! It has disabled my internet, Trend Micro Antivirus, and any other anti virus software I try to put on it. I have tried using the internet through my ethernet cable with out a result. I tried downloading a malware program on a different computer and then using a flash drive to put it on my laptop. Same thing happens as Trend Micro. NOTHING!
I ran my Webroot and it detected and quarantined trojan.agent.tdss
but at the end of the sweep my laptop preforms an emergency shut down.
I am at a loss of things to do!! Help! I would love not to have to buy a new laptop!

You will need to disable the Tdss trojan Once you do that you should be able to download, install and update a program called Malwarebytes. Then restart your computer is safe mode and run a scan. Webroot may also be able to remove the rest of it in safe mode. But to be on the safe side get Malwarebytes Anti-Malware from download.com When you disable the trojan, it’s a good idea to turn off system restore.
: Disable TDSSserv trojan driver.
* Right click the My computer icon. If you are using the non classic Start menu, then right click My computer icon on your Start button menu.
* Click Properties.
* Click Hardware Tab.
* Click Device Manager.
* In the top menu, click View and click Show Hidden Drivers.
* Scroll down to non Plug and Play drivers.
* Click + at left.
* In the list of drivers right click TDSSserv.sys or TDSSxyz.sys where xyz are random characters, clbdriver.sys, gaopdxserv.sys, seneka or seneka.sys.
* Click Disable.
* Click YES for confirm.
* Close all windows and reboot your computer
reinstall your os vista or xp
If a virus would cause so much damage that people would have to buy new laptops or computers, then computer companies and Microsoft would be rich like heck. When you bought your laptop, you should have received a couple of discs that can be named Recovery discs or Windows installation CD. You need to insert that and reformat and reinstall your computer. After you back up data.
The virus is no longer one, it is multiple ones, you cannot do anything else but reformat, unles you can get a programmer that can make a virus that cleans your system up (unlikely).
In such situations you might need to format it (renew your OS, it means that you delete ALL you files incl. the trojan) And remember to make backups of your most important files if you have the chance.
Have someone with an uninfected computer download Malwarebytes, change the name of the mbam.exe file to whatever.exe, update it and save it to a removable drive. Then boot into safe mode, plug it in, and run a FULL scan. That should work. If that fails, reinstall your OS.
Changing the mbam.exe file and updating it is crucial.
Download and make a bootable antiVirus cdrom image with your other pc. Boot the laptop from that cd and scan for virii with it.
That should at least get you back so you can scan with the usual stuff.
If it does not then time for expert help from a virus removal forum such as http://www.dslreports.com/forum/cleanup
Download from here:

I suggest you run a scan with malwarebytes .
you can get malwarebytes here,
this is a direct download link
so you should have no trouble getting it.
click on this link ↓ and then select run.
http://www.malwarebytes.org/affiliates/2-spyware/mbam-setup.exe
INSTALL IT TO YOUR DESKTOP, update it,
then run a full scan and remove everything it finds.
some viruses will try to disable it
so if malwarebytes will not startup
then go into the folder it is in and rename the mbam file to XXX
then double click on the file you just renamed to start it up.
after you have used malwarebytes then do this online scan.
to make sure you have nothing else hiding away.

preferably in safe mode with networking.
if it has removed system files then do not reboot.
go start > run > then enter sfc /scannow and insert your windows disc.
when it has finished then reboot.

Reformat your laptop, you will start fresh
reformat your hard drive. if u have windows xp then when u reboot keep hitting f10 to do a system restore. do the simple one first this way u don’t loose all your files. u may still loose some but not all. this should fix it. if not then yes u have to use your back up cd’s. windows installer cd’s.
