Spy Sweeper is fantastic. Hands down one of the best programs of it’s type. That is the only thing that Best Buy did right. They get paid to sell Trend Micro which unfortunatly is one of the worst antivirus programs I’ve had to endure. If you’re looking for a good program to use then try any of the following:

1) Norton 2009 BETA
-The new Norton is faster installing, less memory hungry, and less intrusive. I’ve been playing with it for a little bit and finally think that Norton has a winner! I recommend trying it for free and waiting for the 2009 release to purchase:

2) Kaspersky
-Kaspersky is right up there with Norton in overall quality but compared with the 2008 version runs a lot less hungry on the system. Also a worthwhile program to try:

3) Eset Nod32
-This program has captured a lot of people by storm and has a lot of enthusiasts singing its praise. Newever versions have also allowed for a more user friendly interface. Something worth trying out:

1) Best of the Freeware is Avira Antivirus:
