What is the best anti-virus software? Cause i just bought a new laptop and the free trial of norton anti-virus was over and i am planning to use a new and good software. (Not norton anti-virus because it makes my com so slow when trying to shut down). I would like a software that do not need to pay monthly fee or if possible a very good free anti-virus software.
AVG works like a bomb. You can download the free version or buy the complete one. The free one works great. I’ve never had a problem. I’d suggest downloading AdAware SE personal with it, for the spyware issues.
All of these are ones that I personally use and all are free.After you install any of them,make sure you update them to get the full affect.

Norton works for us. Its slow because its CHECKING FOR VIRUSES.
AVG is a good free one.it depends on how you use you computer and if you have a firewall and what system you are using.stay away from chat rooms and don’t open emails unless you know the sender and have them scanned before opening.
