My computer has no anti-virus program. The McAfee has expired. I need to install a new progam, but I can’t do it from the internet because it killed my connection. I don’t see my c:/ drive on the screen, but when i go to the start menu, I can find it and click explore to see it. Would i be able to buy a disc to remove the virus, since i can’t do it through the internet?
Is the AdVantage advertising software a spyware or virus program?
I downloaded a free trial of Winace. It says in order to receive a free Winace license I must download the advantage advertising software. I recently had a big problem with viruses and spyware on my computer so I do not want to go through that again. Is advantage advertising software going to damage my computer or create popups? I just wanted to ask from someone, preferably an advanced user, because I have never used the tool alongside another anti virus program.

I tried to download a anti-virus program, but my computer won’t let me, due to a virus/spyware. If I purchase a disk and install the program, will it, or should it un- install the virus?

- I’m currently being infected with Win32:VB-CST[Wrm]
- I’m using avast! On-access Scanner as my anti-virus program
- All detected viruses have been "Move(d) to chest"
I want to download a virus protection program on my windows vista laptop. Anyone have any good sucess with one type of anti-virus program that they would like to recomend? This would be much appreciated. I am currently running Microsofts Windows Defender, but want added virus and spyware protection.

My anti-virus program gives me the option of either disinfecting or deleting the virus, spyware, or ad-ware it finds. Which is more convenient, and which least affects the computer while also protects it more successfully?

My brother is always downloading things, so I’d say our computer is pretty at risk for viruses and spyware and such.

We have a virus program but it usually doesn’t detect anything but I’m pretty sure there’s something there.
I just purchased McAfee Anti Virus program. I’m trying to install it on my computer to remove viruses, but it won’t let me install it unless I uninstall Symantec Anti virus Client. So I tried and it says the netwok resource is unavailable, but the program itself says only 14 mb so I beleive the programs corrupted and infected with a virus that doesn’t want to get deleted. Can I use command, does anybody know how to get rid of this?
