McAfee just told me that I have four trojans on my computer. And I believe they are all generic. Generic.dx or .dj or something. Well, I need help - how do I remove them? And what will it do to my computer? Thanks.

I believe my mother picked one up while Christmas shopping online, because I’m being redirected to random websites often.

I tried installing Spyware Doctor from PC tools… It detected the Trojans and claimed to delete them, but I continue to see the same websites. When I run a new scan, it shows the same trojans, as if the program was not getting rid of them. Is there some program installed that I need to get rid of in a more detailed process?

My computer is already infected with spyware, and trojans and what not. And these windows keep popping up telling me to buy the anti-spyware for my windows xp, but if i bought it.. would it take out the viruses out of my hard drive and everywhere else they might be..or would it just prevent more virus infections? are the ones online even legit? or should i just go out and buy nortons? I think im just going to go to a computer specialist so they can take them out, But i’m just curious because that way I wouldnt have to spend so much money.
By the way, ive already tried the "free" anti-virus things online like that superspyware thing, and the other ones people suggested. Someone told me they were free, and they were NOT.

As a young adolescent we all know we kind of do things and go on stuff we really shouldn’t go on. But we do anyways, to fulfill our "needs" if you know what I mean.
Anyways, thank God I use my very own computer and it is not shared, because tonight I got soooo much spyware and a bunch of other crap (viruses, malicious stuff) from sites that I do not want my parents to find. How can I remove this stuff (free of charge) completely so that it is not found? And also get rid of whatever is in my browser like Trojans and all that.

I use AVG Free and Ad Aware 2007 right now and AdAware removed like 133 traces, AVG just found one (scanning now.)

AVG ALWAYS tells me if there is a threat detected and it will remove it under my command.

How do I use the disk that came with my hp or windows xp whatever its called to wipe everything clean and start over so its just like the day I bought it? Help please! Give me steps to do after inserting the disk! Oh, and by doing this, does it get rid of any trojans and viruses?

-Since I’ve had this laptop (Christmas ‘08), I never could do a System Restore. I’v tried, but it wouldn’t even open the System Restore window.
-I usually use Opera as my Web Browser, but since today, I can’t even open it.

-When I try to click on the link that’s @ the top of the pages, a little info box pops up informing me that "Your current security settings does not allow this file to download." (FYI: I never agreed to download anything)
-I KNOW for a FACT that I have Java Script enabled and everything, but for some reason, it’s telling me that because of my Internet Options, I can’t install the program.
-I can’t even see the images online.
-I’ve called ASUS (the company who made the laptop) & I keep getting a busy signal.
-I don’t know what number to call for Microsoft.
-I have ASUS EEE PC1000HD with Microsoft XP Home Edition.
-My laptop is very tiny, it doesn’t even have a CD slo or anything.

If anyone can help me i ANY way,I would really appreciate it.

Well so the other day my computer got infected, and I had to go out and but a brand new anti-virus program for it……mine was too old….so i bought Panda Antivirus Pro 2009 at Staples for about sounded like a good deal, and Panda has been around for long soo i thought it would work.I bought a 3pc license, and installed it on my lapto, and found i had lots of spy ware, malware 3 backdoor Trojans…… so on.But then this add ware program that is stuck on my task bar says i have spyware and that if i click on the icon, itll help me get rid of that, of couse for a hefty …. but i got the same F****** add ware on my desktop and i had to erase all data,because that was actually another virus.After i bought panda my friend lended me another antivirus, but i dont remember its name.It worked betterthan panda, bu there still addawre.My friend is mailing my a Norton Anti-Virus 360 with a corporate license but i dont know if thatll do the trick, and i use my laptop to pay the bills and have lots of important info and they might steal my identity!!!!!!! aaaaahhh!!!! and i have to pay some bills that are only online, but i dont want to try any of my other computers because its too risky.So Any Anti Virus expert out there, I need help, i need any anti virus program thatll kick the F****** S*** out of that F****** Virus S***.Please i desperately need your help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i have spyware doctor, and i erased the little thing in my task bar, but i still have another problem which is that if i got to sites, like yahoo, hotmail, google,espn , etc., and i have pop up blocker on, but things like down load anti virus whatever, or your computer has spyware, dowload this, download that, and that really annoys me, and i dont know how to get that out, i need hhheeeellllpppp!!!!!!!

the other day i downloaded zango and by the end of the day a message came up saying my laptop was under treat and it said i had like over 500 trojans on, when i tryed to fix it with the virus program it tryed to get to pay like £50.00 for the virus program. i used my free virus program i had, adaware, but with a full computer scan it came up with very few virus’s and only a few trojans. i then tryed to download some other free programs, i downloaded treatfire which with a full system scan said i had no more virus’s and then pc tools antivirus which came up with hardly any, also i tryed AVG but that cam up with very few to. again another program personal antivirus did a scan and found trojans within seconds and found many many trojans but i had to pay money to be able to get rid of them. and things keep coming up from personal antivirus saying theres another trojan or worm and vulnerability highly critical and trojans are being downloaded, and it keeps coming up all the time that different trojans and worms are coming in but if i press block it just tries to get me to buy the program, i can’t delete this prgram as when i go on uninstall the program it isn’t there. i don’t understand why the free ones are coming up with very little but the ones you have to pay for come up with tonnes, i don’t know whether this is just one big scam, but the virus things i use do keep coming up with trojan found and foxed from time to time so that shows there is some on here. i just don’t know what to do, please help as i fear im just going to lose the use in my laptop completely

I bought a used compaq evo n600c and need to do a complete system recovery because it’s loaded with Trojans and viruses. I don’t have the original recovery disc. Any suggestions?
F11 doesn’t do anything, but F11 takes me into "setup". Is this where I should be? And what do I do once I’m in there?

In the corner of my screen there is this red shield that keeps popping up and saying that I have a security problem and everytime it comes up it interupts everything I’m doing and when i click it, it tries to do a scan and it finds trojans or something and then theres this widnow to click remove all or cancel and even if you do that it tries to install something like security spyware?? PLEASE HELP!

It keeps popping up fake vulnerability pop ups every now and than. I installed AVG free and tried to work on it, it did remove some Trojans and spywares but these fake pop ups which say " remote PC trying to connect" or the s/w found 18 vulnerabilities keep annoying me. I need help! I have an HP laptop that doesn’t seem to wipe out trojans since everytime i use malwarebytes, another one pops up. I plan on buying another laptop tomorrow since this computer coming apart anyways. Will viruses travel through this internet connection?

If I remove this infected laptop and replace it with a new laptop, will viruses come through? I’m using a Toshiba Modem with Earthlink as my ISP.

I have tried everything to get rid of the windows pc defender virus on my computer. For some reason, if would’nt let me open spyware doctor. And malwarebytes and super anti-virus wouldnt work. I’ve tried spyware terminator also, but it only gets rid of the trojans and not the virus files. Does anyone have any other ideas? I do not know how to remove it manually. Please Please Please help!

Someone pls help me with these annoying spyware/trojans/viruses!

I keep getting nonstop popups telling me to download antispyware scanners also "avsystemcare" installs by itself on my computer

i have tried these free spyware scanners : Ad-Ware, Spyware Terminator, AVG spyware on SAfe Mode

I also tried a guide that someone recommended on yahoo of "smitfraudfix" on safe mode and that didn’t work either!

PLS HELP!!! i am wiling to go to the computer store to buy a good spyware/virus software… as long as it gets rid of these pesks!

We downloaded spybot and removed hundreds of trojans and spyware, but spybot can’t get to a minority few. Meanwhile, I keep getting my contacts list stolen, then erased and replaced with a bunch of addresses I don know, while friends send email asking what’s happening. Typical greetings in the subject box include ‘good website’ and ‘merry christmas’. Please help, anyone. Appreciatively, Randy
