How does a person know if thier PC still has a virus, after using thier anti-spyware removal?
I have removed the virus, deleted all the registry entries and .dll files and have used multiple spyware removal softwares, including spydoctor, Rogueremover, etc. I am running windows 2000 Professional. The software has been removed but the icon still stays in the taskbar, and a left or right click on the baloon reinstalls the program. I want to know how to get rid of the taskbar icon.

nothing seems to be working, its like the program is blocking real spyware removal sites from opening!
Downloaded that, didn’t work.
mcAfee didn’t detect it for that matter..
I already calm and remove the opening spyware virus program, but the flashing icon I cannot remove.?
The icon has a cross crest and a blue crest with a question sign, just next to the internet computer icon, norton and the clock. I would appreciate. I took the days to disable the spyware removal virus, but this icon I cannot remove. I am severely frustrated.
