I came home today and my computer was getting tons of pop-ups and my background was changed and it said "WARNING SPYWARE" or something like that and everything just seemed to be going wrong. i did a system restore and then scanned it with cleancenter and then did a scan with ad-aware se. everything seems to be running okay now but is there someway i can find out if its still on my computer?
my spyware virus protection from norton360 ended today and ever since then i have been getting these pop-ups asking me to buy spyware, when i click no thanks becaus emy comp is already secure it keeps popping up like now…it has a screen that read MS SPYWARE 2009..it won’t go away and it pops up every two mintues or so…what can I do to stop it? anything i need to uninstall? please help this is very annoying!
Windows said I had a trojan virus, so i bought defender pro 2009 from wal-mart. I ran the scan and it found 4 or 5 infected files. I deleted the files, but whenever I open internet explorer there are pop ups and it redirects me all over the place. Can someone please help me repair this problem?
I got a computer from a friend and I keep getting pop-ups telling me I have an ADWARE.MYWEBSEARCH.1222 trojan virus that they can’t remove.
Any tips on how to remove it?
I have just recently started getting a million pop ups and I ran windows live one care that located a "gadcom" file…related to trojan virus. OC has located and supposedly removed the same files several times. This virus is making babies!!! What is a good program to remove this and make it stop coming back?
I was trying to download the driver for my scanner and I must have gone to a bad site. Now when I start up there is a shortcut for freeprodtb on my desktop. Its causing a ridiculous amount fo pop-ups even when I’m not online!!! It’s driving me nuts. I ran AOL spyware and it didn’t remove it and I bought eTrust Pest Patrol program, yet this thing will not go away! Help Please!!!!!!!!!!!
I got a virus this morning and reformated my hard drive. Will reformating my pc remove the viruses. The virus was a bunch of pop ups saying my system was infected and the pop up said install anti virus program now. I couldn’t close any of the pop ups so I reformated my hard drive.
So I am pretty sure I have viruses and spyware on my computer because of endless pop ups, some of my applications randomly get deleted, and my computer has been slow. I downloaded the 90 day trial of mcafee and when it scanned my computer it did not detect anything. So what cam i do to remove the viruses without deleting my data?
i keep getting these stupid pop ups. i have pop up blacker and all but it doesnt stop them. i also have spy bot, norton anti virus, and mcafee, trying to detect this virus, but they all say my computer is clean. i know for sure i have this virus. how can i get rid of it?
My dad has that virus on his computer that has pop ups and tells you to buy antivirus stuff. It shows porn pics and theatens embarassment about visiting porn sites (don’t do).
I had this virus on my computer last year, and my husband’s friend founds tons of websites on how to get rid of it without downloading anything.

I have a friend that wants me to fix his computer, however i cant remember the name of the software i used to fix my own. I asked a long time ago on this forum on another account. Someone told me to use these two programs, they were free, enter safe mode on my computer and run them. It got rid of all pop ups and fake virus scans. Does anyone know what these programs are, or any other good programs i could use?
