my netbook is infected with virus and spyware, i had an antivirus but now it doesn’t work because of the virus, anyway i don’t want to use my netbook anymore i want to buy a laptop, so i don’t care about losing data, will a complete system restore remove all malware from my netbook?
I currently have a Toshiba Satellite, and I’m fed up with it. The wireless shuts off randomly (it has been doing this since day 1) and doesn’t work completely unless I have an ethernet, it freezes while loading websites regularly, even if it’s just me checking my e-mail, and it totally crashed last month, forcing me to re-image it. Whether it’s all just me or the laptop itself, I don’t know, but I’m definitely in the market for a new laptop. I’m currently a senior in college, so I want to have a laptop I could use for grad school and the future as well- this is not going to be some laptop I buy once, and then trash it next year for another replacement. I’ll probably be using it for Word processing, PowerPoint presentations, music and pictures, as well as internet. Nothing too huge. I was thinking of a netbook, but I don’t think it’d be able to handle all of that. I’m leaning toward a MacBook just because I am so frustrated with the things that go wrong with my Toshiba (viruses, being slow, etc), but I’m also considering Sony laptops as well.
Any suggestions? I’d rather not get a Dell (heard too many bad stories) and I’m NOT considering another Toshiba, ever. Also, considering my usage and memory requirements (which music and pictures is a big part of), what specs should I be looking for?
Any help on a good quality, longterm laptop that won’t fall apart on me in a year or two would be great, I’m clearly not an expert on this!

Well…I Have the money but my mom says that i have to save all my money while i can for when I’m older. She also says that i got a computer all the time for me(which is true because there is 2 computers and i can always use one). I want one because i like sitting on the couch and playing runescape 
while I’m watching TV or just lay on my bed and chat with privacy . Or do my homework in a nice place because the desk for the computer is really small and it irritates me. Does anyone think of any idea to convince my mom into letting me buy one… The computer is really neat for what i want it to be… i don’t want to be playing…Assassins Creed 
on the laptop… i just want to use it for chatting, doing my homework, having privacy, not get bored while doing a skill on runescape … I could even get close to a window because the computer place is so dark… the lights wont lighten the place up… Or even just do whatever i want with it…. i hate listening to my brother say…hey! dont install that… thats a virus… that takes too much space… or chat without thinking that hes looking at me… its so creepy …
So… i want ideas to convince my mom into buying me one….

Don’t say the things about internet is scary… my mom doesnt spy on me…no one does…my mom hates spying…its one thing she DOESNT do…she trusts me…its not much about privacy…its more about the other reasons…Plus, my brother listens loud to music…he doesnt respect by listening to it with earphones or whatever… plus he plays ELECTRIC GUITAR on my ear…
Whatever you call it… a netbook…whatever… I actually WANT the ASUS EEE PC its just 560 without vista(good!) here…really cheap, i would have like 500 left…
I dont want a biig laptop…its like… i dont want this… i want something small… i was thinking on a psp but… HEY… its not worth it…for like 200 bucks more i have a NETBOOK…cuz psp costs 350 here…i know its ALOT…
