New Laptop Problem, i bought new dell studio 17 laptop. But my internet explorer still takes time to open with/without internet.

Dell Studio 17 inch screen, 4gb ram, 500 gb hard drive, intel core 2 duo T-6500m, processor speed 2.1 ghz, Windows Vista premium.

Now my problem is that internet explorer or firefox still takes time to open, infact its the same as my desktop which is 1gb ram 80gb hrd drive and 2 ghz . Now i asked the geek squad or technicians in best buy and he told me that there is some super fetch thing in new computers so he said it will be abt a month for my laptop to get use to what I do i.e i work on multiple explorers(5-8)and couple spreadsheets. NOW i don’t what should I do? will it really make or real fast after a month or so, but what it don’t.
SHOULD I WAIT OR SHOULD i RETURN AND GET SOME ELSE, COS I CANNOT RETURN AFTER 14 DAYS ARE OVER. please HELP TO MAKE TO MAKE A DECISION.
And if i should return it what kind i should and with what specification.

internrt explorer/ fire fox does take time but not really long time. Point is that my 1gb ram take same or almost same time . and I was expecting that 4gb would be real fast.

and I dont want to buy anything expensive than this cos those are for gamers of artists ..but all i need to open multiple explorers fast.

I also installed kaprasky anti-virus but was told it does not make computer slow as compared other anti-viruses in the market.

virus & spyware - Ultra bad problem…help needed!?

I had a virus and it’s popping back up now and again
I also keep getting popups and ads randomly on pages and also loading up in new internet explorers (see link http://img139.imageshack.us/img139/4527/popupnv2.png )

Also, some of the popups are trying to get me to download spyware software (i already have some). I know full well of this being a scam as it is a trick by the hacker when he drops a virus in to drop stuff in to make you buy the stuff to get software which will "supposedly" remove the spyware.

Whilst typing this, it has reopened myspace i.m and 3 chatrooms without me telling it to do so.

Can someone PLEASE tell me what the hell this virus is! i’ve scanned and scanned and i keep getting attacked by stuff and its pissing me off.
For your information, in regard to the c++ one, it closes the explorer taskbar at the bottom and then reloads it a few seconds later

-Since I’ve had this laptop (Christmas ‘08), I never could do a System Restore. I’v tried, but it wouldn’t even open the System Restore window.
-I usually use Opera as my Web Browser, but since today, I can’t even open it.

-When I try to click on the link that’s @ the top of the pages, a little info box pops up informing me that "Your current security settings does not allow this file to download." (FYI: I never agreed to download anything)
-I KNOW for a FACT that I have Java Script enabled and everything, but for some reason, it’s telling me that because of my Internet Options, I can’t install the program.
-I can’t even see the images online.
-I’ve called ASUS (the company who made the laptop) & I keep getting a busy signal.
-I don’t know what number to call for Microsoft.
-I have ASUS EEE PC1000HD with Microsoft XP Home Edition.
-My laptop is very tiny, it doesn’t even have a CD slo or anything.

If anyone can help me i ANY way,I would really appreciate it.

Help with viruses and Trojan’s/Best Anti-Virus Program

Ok, my computer is all screwed up, or so i think it is. run a Windows defender scan and it says i have a Severe Trojan virus called: Trojan:Win32/Vundo/gen!L and i press "apply actions" a window then pops up saying that it needs to send some info to Microsoft to gain information about the things to further the effectiveness of windows defender. so i do send the information and it says it encountered a problem "one or more actions could not be completed successfully". So i check for updates as it recommends and there is none. great I’m screwed. so i then go to my McAfee and do a scan, the scan stops in the middle of it and shuts down the McAfee program Wonderful what now? So then i notice on Internet explorer that is i type something in to google say Myspace and click on the myspace link it directs me to a totally different site such as Elle magazine ?!?! i have no idea whats going on is that caused my the virus?

next i look up best Anti-virus softwares and find Spyware Doctor… and i just found out i have a shit load of threats and infections T_T

10 threats and 344 infections to be exact i have 2 highs, 2 mediums ,4 lows, and 2 "info & PUAs" great, great now im stuck.

ok now time to solve the problem what do you recommend me doing? buying a anti-virus software such as Spyware doctor?

My computer is infected with spyware?

My desktop computer is infected with spyware. It has this Total Security 2009 installed on it and i never put it on there. I have Norton 360 on the computer & I can’t open it because it’s infected. There isn’t much that I can open because everything is basically infected. I can open my internet explorer but that’s basically it. I can’t even start up in safe mode. My parents bought a new virus and spyware protection for the computer but it’s not installing. Anyone know of anything I can do?

oky so the other day i was checking my email then i got one from myspace saying that i got a message from some people. then one of the message said something like "i cant believe u did this" or it said something bout getting caught doing something & it had a link. i clicked on it. & it kinda looked like youtube, so i was waiting for it to load, then something said i needed adobe 10, i was bout to install & stuff until i notice it said YUOtube, NOT YOUtube. so i exited it out. then it said my comp detected a virus. so i didnt know what to do, so i started a scan from notron antivirus, then when it was done scanning it found 2 THREATS, but idk wat to do after that & now something keeps popping up from notron antivirus saying to renew & i try to but it asks for a subscription update thing & IDK WAT IT IS D: . so iidk wat to do now. & if i restart my comp, it gets to a screen where’s its all black & at the left right hand corner has like a little blinking bar. (its not from a virus, its been like that this is like 4th yr having this laptop. & i have to turn it off. then push the power button to ‘restart it’. & since then i keep getting these pop ups bout having a virus, & it said something bout a virus on my laptop, but i noticed it was from the internet, internet EXPLORER, & i dont use that, i use mozilla firefox 3.5 . & i tried uninstalling internet explorer but i cant find the thing to unstall it anywhere on my comp! help!

Well when I got this computer, it came with a 90 day trial of Norton Internet Security+Anti-Virus, and after it expired I got Norton 360 All-In-One. I had to uninstall the old Norton to install the new one, so I did. Then when i turned on my computer at the task tray (or whatever it’s called, the icons at the bottom right.) There was a flashing red circle w/ a X in the middle and it said "System Alert". My background was overlapped by a big red toxic sign and under that "YOUR PRIVACY IS IN DANGER!". A lot of pop-ups kept coming up saying "System Alert" "Worm was detected on your computer, click yes to delete this worm now.", "Windows Security Alert" "Windows has detected an Internet attack attempt… Somebody’s trying to infect your PC with spyware or harmful viruses. Click here to download spyware remover for total protection.", and when I open up Internet Explorer, the home page is an ad telling me to buy a spyware remover. Even when I change the homepage, it changes back whenever I open Internet Explorer. I installed Norton 360 All-In-One and ran virus scans and things, but they didn’t detect anything. The virus does not allow hidden files viewing . Folder options could not be changed. PC gets hanged or restarts. It happens when accessing files, internet explorer etc. I tried different anti virus softwares but could not suceed.

How do I remove the “New Malware” Trojan virus from my computer?

I recently ran virus scan and it detected 2 files infected with the Trojan virus called "New Malware". I deleted the 2 files, yet my computer continues to alert my that it is infected. Also, on my task manager it shows IEXPLORE.EXE running but Internet Explorer is not running, and eventually it will start playing music and advertisments until I "end" the process, but it comes back 5 minutes later. Any tips on how to remove this virus from my computer?

An adverstising company illegally installed a trojan downloaded from the internet that keeps opening as my home page when I lauch internet explorer. I just managed to get the crss.exe virus from a torrent. This is a process running on my computer, and it has disabled all executable files on my computer. Therefore I cannot run any antivirus programs or any other executable program but Mozilla Firefox for some reason? Any executable file or program I try to run, it simply trys to open it in internet explorer and fails everytime. Any tips on removal?

Windows said I had a trojan virus, so i bought defender pro 2009 from wal-mart. I ran the scan and it found 4 or 5 infected files. I deleted the files, but whenever I open internet explorer there are pop ups and it redirects me all over the place. Can someone please help me repair this problem?

Yea sure…I couldn’t even get on internet explorer or my email accounts. My husband had to erase everything except my emails and bookmarks—everything else-gone! Is there another way of doing this without having to go to so much trouble? Now my daughter is having the same problem. People need to be aware that these ads are sneaked in on other websites and people just don’t notice them.
