I just bought a new sony VAIO destop computer, and the free 30 trial of norton antivirus has expire. Does anyone know of any good, free antivirus software that i can download for my computer? I dont really know much about this stuff, so any help will be great.
I just got a new dell computer, and downloaded a good free antivirus software that I know of, but am having trouble picking between which one to buy! Any suggestions?
I have windows 7 thankyou everyone for your answers. I got what I need! Turns out my computer came with one already installed as well as all the full microsoft software! Guess it has been a while since I have bought a computer, but I have always had to buy those things. They usually put trial versions on the computer, guess they changed it!
I don’t have a lot of money to buy antivirus software and I want to be protected. Is there a legitimate site where I can have PC checked and get free antivirus software?
So Norton came with my new computer and my trial is going to end in a few weeks. Is it worth buying it? Can I go to the store and buy a CD so i don’t have to continue to pay or something for years? I’m just trying to take care of my computer. Is there any free antivirus software that works well and that I can rely on that I can download off the internet (now I’m more conscious about downloading things if I’m not sure the sites legitimate)? I kind of always trusted AVG (free edition) but I’m not so sure anymore since my last computer died and the person that recommended it to me got a virus on the first computer and their current computer is slower than a turtle. I want to do what’s best for the computer so it can be among us for many year down the road yet money is tight. What do you think is the best thing to do?
use the internet service/set up an e-mail address with the main provider? I recently purchased a new computer (an inexpensive eMachine). The computer seems to have internet service through Google which I don’t really use and I have not set up an e-mail account with Google. I do have e-mail with Yahoo and through Comcast Cablevision which is my major provider/the one I am paying for. Both Comcast and Yahoo already have spyware/virus protection with their service. If I don’t set up an e-mail address through the Google account, do I need to install the "temporarily" free antivirus software (or go buy it elsewhere) that the computer keeps prompting me to do?
Are store bought antivirus software such as Norton and TrendMicro more capable of handling viruses than free antivirus software such as AVG?
I’m currently without virus protection. I don’t have money to buy antivirus software, so what is the best, free antivirus software?
Note, I’m on Windows Vista Home Premium.
I’m looking for a list of top ten antivirus software so that I can compare different antivirus programs and select the best antivirus software for my computer. I need the 2010 version antivirus which is the latest version. I don’t need free antivirus software because I don’t think it is good to buy free antivirus programs. I need a paid version but will go with the cheapest and best antivirus program. Appreciate your help.
I cannot afford to go buy antivirus software at this time, but I dont want to leave my computer unprotected. I do have a firewall and a phishing filter, but i think i need more protection than that. Any advice on where to find free antivirus software online?
Hello, does anyone know if there’s a free antivirus software for Windows Vista out there that I can download? Hopefully something that’s reliable and doesn’t take up too much memory resources on the computer.
What is the best free antivirus software?

I used to have Norton Antivirus, but my subscription expired. Is it worth it to pay to renew my subscription, or should I just download a freeware antivirus program?
What are some good free antivirus software? I keep hearing about Avast and AVG?
