How to remove the backdoor trojan virus called quicktime.exe and x.exe?

its almost 1 month now… i have this virus called quicktime.exe and x.exe the AVG antivirus and SpyBot S&D keep detecting and removing it but still… it seems that this virus is immortal… many expert on the forum i visited that once infected by a backdoor trojan the only way to remove it is to format the pc… there must be a way to remove it, pls help…

Ok, Here goes. How do i clean and remove viruses, spyware,trojans and backdoor trojans from my computer?

What is the most effective "do it your self" way ,without taking it to the Geek Squad and spending nearly 400.00? what is a trojan and a backdoor trojan? how do you get these on your computer? how does the spyware work? thanks
