My computer was bought before three years.Now I installed a mcfee antivirus software.After the installation, my computer began to work slow. I can’t understand the reason.Anyone help me to find a good antivirus software for my system.
Can someone tell me, pls? I’m trying to buy an antivirus software for my new laptop but I’m totally spoilt by choices. Tell me the software of your choice and why.
P/S: ESET, Norton, Kaspersky, Avira and Dr.Web, are they effective?
i installed avg free edition, but it slowed my laptop..:( my laptop is only 80gb in capacity.. any recommendations on the best, safe and not slowing you laptop antivirus software?
My dad knows absolutely nothing about computers, and he didn’t buy an antivirus software when he got the computer, and with his constant need of downloading from limewire and other free sites on the internet, I deffinately think he should have one. But he doesn’t wanna go to the store and pay money for something that he doesnt and will never think he needs, so I wanna find a free on on the internet that I can download for him. Any sugestions?
And also, what about a free pop up blocker?
Because we get a pop up like every 2 minutes and its really annoying.
I’m getting ready to buy another antivirus software…I have been using Norton….is this the best software? I need to know right away.
The other day i payed for a fake antivirus software called "Personal Antivirus". There was a message saying my computer was infected with trojans etc and that i have to buy antivirus software. So i payed for it. Later on google, i found out that it’s fake… Is there a way to get the money back?

An adverstising company illegally installed a trojan downloaded from the internet that keeps opening as my home page when I lauch internet explorer. I have changed it and deleted the software from my programs hundred times already. It keeps re-installing itself. I even tried installing an antivirus software; however, it also has my D dirve locked where I can use it to install anything. So how can I get rid of it without purchasing the software that they are offering everytime their ad pops up. I can still surf the internet, but their ad keeps opening windows continually.
my other computer has been infected with antivirus 360. it does not allow me to use the internet on there so i have to use the computer i’m using right now. I bought some real antivirus software, but I have reason to believe that it is tricking my computer into thinking that i have Microsoft Outlook running (when running the software cannot be installed) so I was just wondering if this has happened to anybody else.
I want to buy a antivirus software for internet security and keep my systeam protect from the virus and spam could you tell me which is the best software for this iam useing windows xp …

i am looking to go buy a antivirus software today since my trial for norton 360 just ran out. i think norton was pretty good but i saw alot of reviews about it saying it slows down your computer alot and things like that. I still am considering it but im not sure so wat anti virus is good that doesnt slow down your computer blocks all spyware and everything real easily and is easy to use? thanks!
i’m looking for a good antivirus software i can buy online,do anybody know any good ones from personal exp.
My computer seems to be infected with spyware. The bar at the bottom sometimes disappear and reappear. I have done a saf scan with Microsoft but at the end the problem remains. Right after the problem appeared, a program offeing to fix it pops up, it’s called WinIFixer and recommends me to get it. I don’t know what to do I have been thinking of going and purchasing a antivirus software from the store, but will that help remove the problem?
I’m wondering if they simply install everyday antivirus software, scan, then remove them, or if they have specific software designed for this (ie software targeted at technicians).
If so, I’d like to know the name of the software if possible!

I have avast antivirus software I scan my pc through it. At last i got result that Antivirus software Avast cant remove Polymorph virus code from pc. and also report me that avast cant scan too many files which has Polymorph virus code in it in my pc. what i do now ? This is 1st time happend.
Is the antivirus software you buy on eBay as good as that you buy directly from Semantic. It says they remove the scan bar for some reason. Also Google offers a free "Norton Security Scan" with their service pack. Is this good antivirus protection?
I curently have a problem with my PC. It seems that it has a virus that kees me form shutting my PC down. It keeps restarting even if I choose the shut down option.
My current antivirus software is updated and I have tried other softwares but it seems this virus is unknown because it cannot be cured by the latest softwares. My PC is also only 1 month ols so PC hardware is not the issue in this (and I have also checked if it is a hardware problem).
My problem is I keep unplugging my PC for it to shut down and might cause damage somehow to my PC or AVR.
Does anybody have the same problems? Can you please help me on how to solve this.

Should I use the ‘Disk Defragmenter’ that comes with Windows to defrag my computer, or use the defragmenter that comes with my antivirus software. Which is better? Thanks for the help!
