It says "Warning this website may contain malicious…" It has the option to continue unprotected or buy their antivirus software. I already have AVG and use comcast but nothing I do works. It’s preventing me from surfing the net. If this has happened to you or you know how to stop it please help! I’ve run out of options.

    okay do as i say.
    1. download and install superantispyware and malwarebytes.
    2. turn off system restore
    3. go into safe mode with networking.
    4. update both programs and disconnect your internet connection.
    5. do a full system scan with each.
    6. quarantine any threats found and you should be good to go

This happen to me, its a virus. I tried to download a free anti-virus software like Norton and it wouldn’t allow me. I had to backup all my pictures and documents on a flash drive USB and restore my computer. I went to the computer store bought the anti-virus software cause I couldn’t download anything. I bought ESET smart security, it comes with anti-virus anti-spy ware, firewall and spam and cost $80. I haven’t had any problems after installing the ESET.

I hope you still have your computer’s recovery disk, you have to use that to restore your computer. Also, next time the warning banner pops up hit Ctrl-Alt-Delete and get rid of it by clicking on task manager and ending the task. But if you get the right anti-virus you shouldn’t get that pop-up.

If Malwarebyte’s Anti-Malware does not get rid of your browser hijacker then try CWShredder.
