Need help buying a laptop.?
I want to buy a laptop for pretty much everyday use. I don’t care if it’s Mac or PC. Mac I know is more expensive, but less virus prone. Right know I’m looking at HP and Dell. Dell I know has awful customer support. I’ve also heard names such as Acer, Toshiba and Gateway. I’m kind of skeptical about Gateway. All I know is that I want
-A webcam
-Windows Word (not Works Word Processor)
-PowerPoint
-An average speed (currently looking at Intel Core 2 Duo)
-Be able to multi-task (music, internet, type all at once)
-would like, (but don’t need) Cd/dvd burner
-Wi-Fi (don’t need broadband)
-Would prefer <,000
-No more than ,500
-Needs to last about 4-yrs
-Needs to work!!!!!

Here ya go.
gateway is great, so is Acer, dont always look for the brand names as the same specs on a notebook will always be more expensive for an HP or Dell, try Newegg.com, they have many computers at very competitive prices, theyre the cheapest Ive ever seen, and I look around a lot. You can browse by price range and you can see ratings from other people. I shop there frequently and Im about to buy my second PC from there too, hope this helps you out. I did a lil searching for you to get started, the highest rated notebook at that price range. XD
