I have a gateway/Windows XP laptop. It’s model number is MA7 or is it MX6958, idk.
I’m currently using my FAMILY computer NOT the laptop i usually use.
Before i even say anymore detail, don’t tell me to:
-buy a new one
-give it to a store to fix it
-or give a web page on confusing directions on how to fix it
Some little detail:
-I have the blue screen of death
-my laptop most of the time gets stuck on the WELCOME page
-I can’t get on internet
-I have the dreaded Advanced Virus remover thing
-i can’t access any of my programs, i can open them but once i open them this comes up : application cannot be executed. Thie file is infected. Please activate your antivirus software…
HOW it all started… Well, i was on the internet on my free time when i went on youtube. Then on a video page it tells me that i should go to a certain webpage to watch anime. So i did, the next thing i knew… over 10 virus alerts popped up, my laptop froze, and afterlike about 15 min. the blue screen of death and the fake Advanced virus Remover thing came up…
So people please help me cuz i need the laptop for school and my personal enjoyment.
Is you give me step by step instructons on how to fix it, i will vote you best answer.

I can send u a copy of xp via msn messenger if u like?!?
you would have to burn it(obviously this has to be done from another computer).
Once burnt onto disc u can then use it to reformat ur laptop and have a clean copy of xp..
All files and folders will be wiped from laptop doing this… if ur not going to take it to a shop id say it was ur only other option!
