ok its a compaq pretty good but it has pretty much no type of virus protection. i use it mostly for browsing the internet and downloading music via limewire. so i was wondering what type of antivirus would nr nrst for me to buy or download so i dont ruin my system.

Get Mozilla Firefox if you don’t have it. Maybe try Safari! Leave enough room for Open Office too!
I rarely bother with another firewall since your OS usually comes with one.
love nod32 very low system resources. no firewall if you arent into the hardcore stuff. i’d go for the tiny firewall. works pretty good for my hp.
like the others suggest take advanatge of the free stuff.
AV: AVG Free, Nod32, Avira AntiVir (you only need one)
Spyware: Adaware, Spybot search & destroy, Spyware doctor
Firewall: Comodo, Tiny Firewall, zone alarm (again you only need one)
