I have this personal anti-virus thing that keeps telling me I have a virus on my laptop. however when I do a full scan on my laptop using Norton anti-virus and Microsoft anti-virus it tells me no virus are found. So is this a Fake program meant to scare me into buying something that I don’t need.

Personal Antivirus, or PersonalAntivirus, is a rogue anti-spyware program to come out from the company called Innovagest 2000.

Personal Antivirus is installed by a trojan called Zlob, which attempts to trick you into buying the alleged rogue anti-spyware program. Once you’re infected with Zlob, a fake security message similar to a Windows notification pops up saying your PC is infected with malware. This Personal Antivirus message is used to lure you into purchasing, downloading and installing their program to remove the imaginary spyware.

Personal Antivirus may also automatically launch at your computer’s startup and scan your computer. Personal Antivirus may be difficult to remove manually, and will continue to try to recreate itself. Personal Antivirus is a clone of Internet Antivirus Pro and General Antivirus, which are other corrupt distributed programs.
of course if you do decide to pay for it
then it does nothing because it is a fake program
all that will happen is they will take your money and leave you with a screwed up computer.

I suggest you run a scan with malwarebytes .
    http://www.malwarebytes.org/

    you can get malwarebytes here,
this is a direct download link
so you should have no trouble getting it.
click on this link ↓ and then select run.
    http://www.malwarebytes.org/affiliates/2-spyware/mbam-setup.exe
INSTALL IT TO YOUR DESKTOP, update it,
then run a full scan and remove everything it finds.

some viruses will try to disable it
so if malwarebytes will not start up
then go into the folder it is in and rename the mbam file to XXXX .exe
then double click on the file you just renamed to start it up.

after you have used malwarebytes then do this online scan.
to make sure you have nothing else hiding away.

preferably in safe mode with networking.

Personal Anti-Virus is the virus..This virus is spreading at a rapid rate.
Anywhom, my grandpa’s computer had this problem..no one knows how to fix this..don’t ask me why.
Anyhow, simply reboot your computer back to factory settings.
Make sure you save any data to a disc that you need before you do so though.

Personal Anti-Virus is one of the worst virus’s by the way.

    Have fun.

My computer does that too…but I do a scan with AVG and Windows, and it says there’s nothing bad. I usually get scared, but I’m just dumb like that. lol but anyway…
If you didn’t install the program and you don’t know where it’s from, it’s just spyware trying to get onto your computer. So you don’t have a virus now, but if you listen to those things, you WILL have a virus. =)
    Hope I helped!
