My sister bought a new laptop and they talked her into this. Although I am not familiar with Vista at all, I thought it sounded like a total rip-off. If Vista comes with startup programs you would want blocked, can’t you just remove them? Also, I would never purchase anti-virus, as I have used free programs for years with no problems. She doesn’t really recall exactly what they told her though, anyone know anything about this?

any antivirus start up blocker is a rip off.
Start/Run "Msconfig" then go to the startup tab
Avast is the best antivirus and it’s FREE!
you can use msconfig to remove startup programs. also vista has a built in blocker that allows you to block unwanted startups.
it could be legit but their way of cashing in the extra dough.
