Im really getting upset. My boyfriend is an idiot and got adware spyware and viruses on my computers from bad websites. I do not have the money to go buy spyware doctor or anything like that. Everytime a program says its free, it does the virus scan for free but to remove the infections it actually found it says I need to upgrade and buy the package. Any free programs or even trials that will actually remove some of the bad stuff? Thanks

here are a couple programs that helped me get rid of some very nasty trojan viruses that McAfee didn’t stop

    malwarebytes’anti-malware

    and

    superantispyware

go to CNET.com to download them (I always trust cnet to download programs I never heard of.)

Follow these instructions step by step. You may want to print them out.

First, turn OFF System Restore and do NOT install any programs on an infected computer.

Second, get and save .exe files of Avast AV from Alwil, Spybot Search & Destroy by Safer Networking, Ad-Aware from Lavasoft and CCLeaner to a folder in your Documents folder called "Armorware". They are all FREE!!!

    http://www.avast.com/eng/avast_4_home.html

    http://www.safer-networking.org/index2.html

    http://www.lavasoft.com/products/ad_aware_free.php

    http://www.ccleaner.com/

Third, run these on-line scanners to clean up the mess:

    http://support.f-secure.com/enu/home/ols.shtml

    And

    http://www.pandasecurity.com/activescan/requirements/?error=javascript

    In that order.

Then with a reasonably clean computer install all of those progs in Safe Mode WITHOUT being connected to the net in any way. Reboot into Regular mode re-connected to the net. UPDATE all progs. Reboot into Safe Mode (off the net again) and then run scans all your new programs. While in Safe Mode run Scan Disk and then Defrag. Reboot into regular mode, turn on System Restore again and manually set a Restore Point with a name like "Cleaned b/f’s mess" or something that will remind you what that particular Restore point was set for.

I hope this helps. Good Luck! If you need more help, e-mail me through here and I’ll see what I can do for you.
