If my computer gets a virus without antivirus, can i buy onr while the virus is there?? Will it get rid of?
so my laptop was unprotected ……
it got a virus
so i got norton the one my laptop came with but it said it expired
so i cant use anything on my laptop cuz its infected
can i buy an anti virus and install it???
will it still kill the virus even though it was installed after i got the antivirus
im kind of nervous too because everytime i open a file it doesnt open
and i think it will do the same to my antivirus i will install
any cheap ones u guys no of bcuz im just a kid
and i dont want my parents to get mad cuz they will be rlly pissed off

So I don’t think anyone can diagnose this without actually working on the computer but here goes: If your computer has lost it’s functionality, including the ability to install and run software it’s too late for antivirus. If it hasn’t then yeah, you can install and run it. The key is that you need to update your antivirus first, get a good product, and run the full scan. Be prepared though. The antivirus may delete files that were corrupted and those may be files that your computer uses for certain functions such as internet and sound. Depends what the virus was built for. I always wipe them clean in this case and install the OS again because you never can tell what all it’s effected.

2/ you can download FREE from AVG or ANTIVIR.
3/ you can run antivirus scan to remove virus.
4/ you can also run antivirus scan when your pc is booted up in safe mode ( pressF8) when pc starts.
5/ use SPYBOT SEARCH AND DESTROY.(FREE) to remove harmfull spyware.
