I am going to get a new anti-virus software. I would like to know if I should remove the software I use now, before or after I install the new software?

  • C-bug says:

You should always remove the old program before installing the new one!

    - Remove the old program, using Add/Remove Programs in Control Panel.
    - Reboot.
    - Install the new program.

Remove the software you have so It won’t clash with the new software. Install the new one immediately after removing the old one.

First You should uninstall the old antivirus software manually using add and remove programs, and then install the new one, but some antivirus software first uninstall the old antivirus software automatically before new setup start.
