I recently did a norton virus scan, and it found a trojan virus, and a few other spyware items. It fixed all the spyware items, but it said the trojan virus was unable to be erased. I scanned and repeated it to see if it would delete it. It didn’t. I was wondering if anyone knows how I can delete this virus? I am running windows xp if that makes any difference. Thanks

My company use Norton & Symantec so as the It tech support, I knew how Norton sucks.
That is a common problem with Norton. Either it cannot detect the virus or it cannot remove the virus.
Disable system restore and boot up in safe mode.
Then try again. If Norton still cannot remove the trojan, remove Norton & follow the procedure below.
Standard Procedure FOR Removing Viruses
1) Install Avast on your PC and do a boot time scan.
Avast is a very effective and free anti-virus program because it can do
a boot time scan before windows start that will remove all those stubborn trojan
virus.
Avast Home Editon ( FREE for personal use )

2) If the virus disable your PC ability to download & install Avast.
Install FREE ClamWin portable anti-virus in an USB pen drive and scan your PC with it.
Use another clean PC to download Clamwin portable anti-virus and install it on a USB pen drive.
http://portableapps.com/apps/utilities/clamwin_portable
Start Clamwin anti-virus and update the latest anti-virus definition files.
Select the tools menu bar, set the preferences to remove virus.
Take the USB pen drive to your infected PC.
Start the infected PC in safe mode by pressing F8 during start up.
Run the Clamwin Anti-virus on the USB pen drive to scan the infected PC.
3) If Avast and Clamwin cannot remove the virus.
Your only option is to reformat your hard disk and reinstall your Windows.
scan in safe mode
