How to remove spyware virus on my PC?
My PC has got a typical virus. Please help me get it removed. In the Internet Options in the control panel, I have put http://www.yahoo.com as the default site, which should open whenever I click on IE6 or IE7 icon. But on my PC a site by the name http://www.asecureboard.com appears whenever I hit IE6. This is strange because under Internet Options the default site still is the same that is http://www.yahoo.com
In addiition to the above, when I try to change the web site from this httpL//www.asecureboard.com site by choosing a new address from the memory available on the drop down feature of the address bar, the site changes as per chosen option except when I choose http://www.yahoo.com. The screen remains static on site http://www.asecureboard.com if I choose yahoo site. Please seek any more clarification from me if that is required to solve my problem. I am having Norton Anti Virus software always live on my PC/

Lol, common problem, a browser hijacker and most likley a background trojan continously downloading the affected files.
Download Nod32, and update it (the demo version should be more the enough, avast and avg are free alternatives, but dont stand near anything that Nod32 can do).
Then download Hijack this, and run it and delete all found objects, then download spybot and ad-aware se (availble from download.com) update them and scan your computer. You will need to scan your pc more then a few time to make sure it is completely done, also run the scan’s in safe mode (when the pc is turning on, hit F8 on your keyboard then click safe mode).
also, download vccleaner, to clean the trojan once and for all =] and that should do it.
Download Spybot Search N Destroy it’s free and does it’s job nicely.
When you download it update it first and do a complete system scan and it will be a surprise to see what it picks up
