My AVG 8.5 software shortcut says "this item has been changed or removed" and the item is on my programs list but it says it may have been uninstalled! Is there anyway to get my AVG back without buying a new subscription?

Why dont you uninstall the AVG and install avast.com?
I just did that because of the same reason and I was told that I would have to buy the renewal
