I have an Acer Aspire 5000 Laptop with XP. I bought it used and have since run up a ton of adware, spyware, viruses, and other problems. I want to completely wipe it out, but since I bought it used, I didn’t get any restore cds, or a manual, or anything. System restore doesn’t even let me go past last month, and windos has to do a disk check before every startup. It’s getting ridiculous. Any thoughts?

Guessing there is a valid product key on the bottom of the laptop. Look around and see if you can borrow someone’s EXACT same type of XP. Then you can use your key to install. Lots of people have XP. Shouldn’t be too hard.

what you are asking is imposable your only option is to take it to someone who works on computers and have them format your hard drive and re install windows
