I got this virus on my computer. When ever I open the internet it blocks all the websites I go to because they want me to buy this anti virus software thing. So I can’t go on the internet to download a software that will delete it.

I have Mcafee Virus Scan, but I don’t know how to use it. Please help me.

Just use another computer, download the programs onto a flashdrive, and put them on that way.

If the virus is blocking internet, it will probably also be blocking installations, you may have to install the antivirus in safemode….

You can restart in safe mode and select safe mode with networking but if you download a software you can’t install it on safe mode. What you can do is, click on start/run and type msconfig
On the new window hit the startup tab and un select everything.Go to services tab,put a check mark "hide all microsoft services" and un select the rest. Now restart on normal mode and download super antispyware and do a full scan.Do a scan with your antivirus too

Try safe mode by restarting PC and tapping F-8 key, choosing Safe Mode with Networking. Download, Update, run Malwarebytes and SuperAntiSpyware. After finished and restarted out of safe mode run scans again. Download, Update, run A-squared and finish up using Ccleaner. Turn off System Restore and turn back on…

You have Mcafee, so go into Safe Mode. ( You may be able to do it without Safe Mode but this way the virus isn’t active and can be removed easier.)
Start the computer and tap the F8 key until the utility menu comes up. Use the arrow keys to highlight Safe Mode and press enter.
When the Safe Mode desktop comes up click on the Mcafee icon or go to Programs and choose Mcafee. When it starts look for a "Scan Computer" or "Scan Hard drive" option. Click on that to start. If it gives you a choice of drives, select the "c" drive.

If you have Windows xp and have microsoft updates on then your computer has a hidden virus removal tool on it already…click on start…then click run…type in mrt….the Microsoft Malicious Software removal tool should pop-up…run a quick scan then a full-scan….if it doesn’t appear you can always download at Microsoft Download Center…

    1. Go on a working computer
    2. Go to http://www.pcthreat.com/removers.html to download Free scan antispyware
    3. Hit download
    4. When the save file thing comes up, save it to a flash drive
    5. Plug your flash drive into your infected computer and install Spyhunter
    6. Update
    7. Run a full system scan
    8. When its done, follow prompts which might tell you to restart to remove the virus. After restart, you should be virus free, but to be safe download AVG Antivirus and also run a full scan.
You should always have a Antispyware and a good antivirus program to be safe.

Try to use Safe Mode with Networking. The following steps may help you.

1.Log out and reboot your machine.
    2.Press the F8 key repeatedly.
3.Select Safe Mode with Networking from the resulting menu.
4.Login. If the malware has changed your password, try logging in as Administrator. By default, Administrator has no password.
5.The machine will continue booting, but the Windows desktop will look different.
6.When you’re finished doing what you need to do, log out and reboot back into normal mode.
