How do I remove a virus from my computer without the internet?
I got this virus on my computer. When ever I open the internet it blocks all the websites I go to because they want me to buy this anti virus software thing. So I can’t go on the internet to download a software that will delete it.

I have Mcafee Virus Scan, but I don’t know how to use it. Please help me.

Best thing for you to do right now is to boot up your computer in to safe mode.

Depending on your computer (which you did not give any info about it, please do next time), pressing either F1, F2, F8 to boot up your computer.

Note safe-mode only utilizes what your system needs for it to run. Log in as Administrator and do a computer system scan with you Mcafee Virus Scan. And hope to god and that it may find the virus and delete it.

If not, have a friend help you make a bootable USB with Kaspersky Rescue Disk installed on it. Kaspersky Rescue Disk is a personal virus scanner and it uses Linux instead of booting in to Windows. Have it plugged in and select from the boot menu to Boot from USB. Follow the instructions and have it scan and detect any virus from your system.

When it is done, Quarantine the files and if you don’t know much about computers, have a friend post the log file of the scan on a techie web and the techie there will respond to whether the file may be important to the system or it just doesn’t matter…

reboot in to safe mode (keep tapping F8 whilst pc is booting)

sign in as the normal user (not the admin one)

    click on start,
    click on run
    type regedit
    press ok

    Delete the following registry values:

Using windows explorer (NOT IE) delete the following files from yout pc

If you cannot see local settings in explorer click on tools -> folder options -> view and put a dot on show hidden files and folders.

    Documents and settings\YOUR NAME\Local Settings\Application Data\[RANDOM CHARACTERS]\
    Documents and settings\YOUR NAME\Local Settings\Application Data\[RANDOM CHARACTERS]\[random]sysguard.exe

    reboot pc

With the files missing you can then use the internet to download Malwarebytes Anti Malware this will remove the rest for you.

*****THANKS FOR THE MARK DOWN, BUT HAVE JUST DONE THIS ON SOMEONE ELSES PC WITH THE EXACT SAME PROBLEM.
