I believe my mother picked one up while Christmas shopping online, because I’m being redirected to random websites often.
I tried installing Spyware Doctor from PC tools… It detected the Trojans and claimed to delete them, but I continue to see the same websites. When I run a new scan, it shows the same trojans, as if the program was not getting rid of them. Is there some program installed that I need to get rid of in a more detailed process?


Use the following instructions to remove Trojan Vundo:
1. Using VundoFix.

* Download VundoFix and save the file to your desktop.
* Once it downloaded, double-click VundoFix.exe to run it.
* Click the Scan for Vundo button.
* Once it’s done scanning, click the Remove Vundo button.
* You will receive a prompt asking if you want to remove the files, click YES.
* Once you click yes, your desktop will go blank as it starts removing Vundo.
* When completed, it will prompt that it will shutdown your computer, click OK.
* Turn your computer back on.
2. Using VirtumundoBegone.

* Reboot your computer in the Safe mode.
- Restart your computer
- After hearing your computer beep once during startup, but before the Windows icon appears, press F8.

- Select the first option, to run Windows in Safe Mode.
* Run VirtumundoBeGone.exe and follow the instructions. Don’t worry if you see BLUE SCREEN “Fatal Error” message, this is normal and expected.
* When it’s finished, reboot.
3. Using Malwarebytes’ Anti-Malware. Designed to quickly detect, destroy, and prevent malware, spyware, trojans.

Download, install and update.
Run, select “Perform Quick Scan”, then click Scan.
he scan may take some time to finish,so please be patient.
When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results.
Make sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected.

Download, install and update.
Run, click Scan your computer, click Next.
The scan may take some time to finish,so please be patient. When the scan is complete, result of scanning will be open, click OK.
Click Next to start removing the found threats.
get a better anti-virus (i highly recommend AVG, and its free)
sorry to tell ya but trojans are an internal windows or mac virus. they can only be deflected not erased off the computer. best thing to do is to push f-10 when you start your computer and restart and erase evrything.
try malwarebytes’ anti-malware, install it update then run a scan
spybot search and destroy is good too
try those things first…
