Kaspersky 2009 is the best in the world, made by the Russians. Although the cost is a little high, but on the long run it may be worth it. I highly recommend it. I have it and it works fantastic!

Norton 360 is pretty good. McAfee is also good. Trend Micro is good but no the best. AVg is free but sux

Eset’s NOD32 and AVG are great options, but Norton 360 is bloatware and I have never heard of Panda Software except on Yahoo! Answers with one person who had trouble with it…

Anyone who says Mcafee is good, has no clue about anti virus software.

    Malwarebytes
    Avast
    AVG
    Bitdefender
    Spyware Doctor

    Forgot about Kaspersky

I use AVAST which is free and it much better than AVG or the other free and paid versions in my opinion.

I would use Norton Internet Security. Stay far away from Norton 360. There are of course good packages from other companies as well but decision is yours!

I have used AVG Anti Virus, Zone Alarm Firewall, I have recently added superantispyware and Malwarebytes. They are all free for personal use and I have had no trouble with Viruses Trojans Hackers etc. I have just changed to Avast antivirus and all seems good so far. Zone Alarm allows a lot of personal configuration unlike the Windows Firewall. They can all be downloaded from http://www.download.com/ I also use Windows Defender from the Microsoft site. It is safe to use two anti-spy products but never use more than one A/V as it can cause conflicts. You should run A/V and anti spy weekly. Hope this helps
