Also it could of had virus because i heard that the ‘all your friends’ application on fb was once and plenty people tagged me in that . so? hElP . It also is a genuine laptop i bought it this february from the hp store

if the notebook is booting to Windows Recovery, rather than Windows, this seems to be a problem with the Recovery Partition. the best thing at this point would be to remove the hard drive, connect it to another PC as a slave hard drive and take a back up of all the important data.
to connect the hard drive as a slave one, u would need a case.
after taking the backup, perform the Recovery, which means, Windows and all the applications will be reloaded.
apart from this, HP notebook generally comes with this "Hard Drive Self Test" feature, which can be accessed from the BIOS. if you are able to access the BIOS and if this feature is available, then i would suggest you to perform this Test as well. (you will find both Long and a Short test). perform both the tests. If the result says "Failed" then a new hard drive is required. if the notebook has a warranty, you may want to contact HP support, and they will be replacing the faulty one.
yeah.. I would guess it is a virus/malware related.. before I would reinstall windows I would try a boot CD, such as the Ultimate Boot CD or the Hirams boot CD.. that way it will let you boot into windows off the CD and then you’ll have access to the hard drive to run Diag tools.
the boot CD also has some virus scanners that you can run as well… or even if you create a virus scanner on bootable CD that way you can run in DOS (before windows load up)
