I bought a used compaq evo n600c and need to do a complete system recovery because it’s loaded with Trojans and viruses. I don’t have the original recovery disc. Any suggestions?
F11 doesn’t do anything, but F11 takes me into "setup". Is this where I should be? And what do I do once I’m in there?

the only way to do a recovery is to have the disks on a compaq.you can order them through hp or try and find an oem version of your os just the disk and reinstall os from that using compaq product key from the back of the pc. check with a friend and see if they have an oem version of you operating system you can borrow.
