This is not on my computer, I am trying to help a friend over the phone. This is in her add/remove programs and I’m afraid that if we just remove it, the full amount of the malware/spyware/virus won’t be removed.
Im really getting upset. My boyfriend is an idiot and got adware spyware and viruses on my computers from bad websites. I do not have the money to go buy spyware doctor or anything like that. Everytime a program says its free, it does the virus scan for free but to remove the infections it actually found it says I need to upgrade and buy the package. Any free programs or even trials that will actually remove some of the bad stuff? Thanks
Hey, i believe i have a virus or spyware in my computer. When i browse the web with Firefox, chrome or opera i type in a website and occasionally it leads to me to a totally different site unrelated to what i wanted. This occurs with all three web browsers. I have a virus program and it claims my computer is cleaned. Any help to remove this virus? Thx in advance.

recently the buy-internetsecurity.com virus attacked my computer. My father blames it on an online game i play, "Combat-arms, and gunbound." How/where do you get this virus, or can you get harmful spyware/virus’/malware from playing online games?
i already removed spyware quake virus using smitrem, hijack this and kill box, but my command prompt, system restore and task manager swtill dont work, how can i fix this. my antivirus ware doesnt read anymore viruses even after thorough scan.
So i bought my macbook because they supposedly dont get viruses but right now my internet shut down and it said in a ad install spyware removal get rid of the virus
can it get a virus???

I just put my new computer online and downloaded avg syware and antivirus, I also have ada-ware and spy-bot insalled but I keep getting notices that my computer is infected eventhough I have used all programs and scanned repeatedly. Is there anything else I can do. Also with every warning the same anti virus or spyware programs keep coming up and I am wondering if those sofhtware manufacurers have the virus in there to get you to buy the program.

My computer is already infected with spyware, and trojans and what not. And these windows keep popping up telling me to buy the anti-spyware for my windows xp, but if i bought it.. would it take out the viruses out of my hard drive and everywhere else they might be..or would it just prevent more virus infections? are the ones online even legit? or should i just go out and buy nortons? I think im just going to go to a computer specialist so they can take them out, But i’m just curious because that way I wouldnt have to spend so much money.
By the way, ive already tried the "free" anti-virus things online like that superspyware thing, and the other ones people suggested. Someone told me they were free, and they were NOT.
As a young adolescent we all know we kind of do things and go on stuff we really shouldn’t go on. But we do anyways, to fulfill our "needs" if you know what I mean.
Anyways, thank God I use my very own computer and it is not shared, because tonight I got soooo much spyware and a bunch of other crap (viruses, malicious stuff) from sites that I do not want my parents to find. How can I remove this stuff (free of charge) completely so that it is not found? And also get rid of whatever is in my browser like Trojans and all that.
I use AVG Free and Ad Aware 2007 right now and AdAware removed like 133 traces, AVG just found one (scanning now.)

AVG ALWAYS tells me if there is a threat detected and it will remove it under my command.
Because I don’t want to waste my money every year just to buy Norton or Spyware stuffs. I’m looking for a free and can use forever without warrant amd I don’t want a trial version.

i downloaded a file from limewire and i have gotten a very bad Trojan virus, along with spy ware and malware, i need to know how to remove them, thanks
Have a cable modem attached to a wireless router. Connected to the router are a wired desktop and a wireless laptop.
The wireless laptop is infected with spyware and/or viruses.
When I tried downloading anti-spyware programs, IE failed because that very spyware is preventing the download (ie does the usual "buy me" crap).
I went onto the desktop to download the software and now that doesn’t have internet connectivity.
Tried resetting the modem and router but to no avail.
Tried to update the router firware (from the desktop interface) and the router claims that there is no connectivity even though the modem indicates there is (blinking lights are all good).
Any ideas?

I have a spyware virus and it says I have 38 infections when yesterday my laptop was just FINE!!! I try to download a new anti spyware or microsoft defender and new anti virus stuff when i install it a message says the application cannot be opened because it’s infected!!!! WHAT DO I DO??? ive got some retty good free protection in my opinion and im not having any problems but i was just trying some free online scan to kinda see if my free programs were missing anything and it seems they tell you your infected and if you want to remove it itll cost ya lol …just seems like a scaM not a scaN
i want a free anti-virus pogram that scans viruses/spyware and basicly protects my computer from viruses. it has to be 100 percent free.
Every five minutes I get this pop up that says "Your computer is at risk and WARNING Attack Detected" It keeps on and on and on every five minutes or so and my Windows Vista keeps popping up wanting me to buy spyware and anti-virus programs.

I am having a dilemma right now. My folks PC in Washington has contracted a Kavo Trojan. I am currently in the process of trying to remove this virus, however it keep coming back. Not surprisingly.
I am in CA right now using logmein(remote desktop) in an attempt to remove this virus/spyware. The virus was first detected by McAfee Antivirus .
I have perform the following:
1. Spyware Search & Destroy 1.4 w/ latest build
2. McAfee Antivirus w/ latest build
3. Lavasoft Adware Removal 1.06 Build w/ latest Update
Even attempted to look for kavo.exe and kavo0.dll files. Apparently, these files will keep spawning if deleted (McAfee deleted). I have disable the startup service kavo.exe in msconfig. However, I get a pop-up error message. Does anyone know of any method or tools that I can use to remove this virus/spyware. Please keep in mind that I am doing this remotely. I am instructing my folks on the phone. I have already scan my computer w/ McAfee in safe mode.

SOLUTION:
To remove kavo.exe (aka ntdelect.com, TROJ_NSPM.ADB, and TROJ_NSPM.ABT)
Please perform the following:
1. Go to Trend Micro- http://housecall.trendmicro.com/…
and use their housecall scan/removal
2. Go to Registry Edit aka regedit and
search for
"C:\WINDOWS\system32\kavo.exe"
with the value of kavo
Please note the location of the kavo may vary depending on the type of variant you have. The general information insist that it is in
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run\”kava” = “%System%\kavo.exe”
I am working on removing all left over "residule" from the virus. As of right now McAfee wasn’t able to detect this virus (i.e. kavo0.dll, kavo.exe in any of my drives)

Had Win32/Heur virus , removed by using malwarebytes , super anti spyware , avg – in safe mode network. But trojan gone but have this site redirecting to survey site, or other false ones.
Have put on block list for now . But concerned and want to make sure i got rid of any issues. Malwarebytes comes up clean as well as "avg" ,& superantispyware. Any ideas?
