I know that sounds ignorant but what is the point of making a virus? I had a virus once that tried to convince me to buy their "anti-virus" software, but other than that I really don’t see the point.
Anti-virus software companies have a good reason to make viruses, who else would put in all the time and effort? Even if some sickos had enough energy to make a virus, would there really be so many if it were just lonely hackers in their basements?
Last night, my friend called me frantically after she realized she opened an email with a virus. She wants me to fix it for her but she was dumb enough to not buy an anti-virus software. How can I remove the virus from her computer then? Any Helpful hints please? She can’t even afford geek squad….
I have found popups say I have volnurabilities, I buy their product and my system crashes or I can’t get videos through the media either newsgroups or the latest movies and entertainment. How do I know if something is bad or not? either an import or an export. I want to know if Yahoo has adequate virus protection or do I need to go elsewhere like Norton’s?
If I ask my dad to buy antivirus software and other software to make my laptop faster (I think i have some viruses) does it show what sites or files the viruses came from?

I got this virus from downloading an album off of bit torrent. The virus is a fake Anti Virus software that downloaded itself. It wont let me open up any programs or download any software to my computer. It wont let me connect to the internet or anything. everywhere I look it will give a free SCAN, but I actually need the software to get rid of the viruses, I’m just looking for like a 30 day trial until I get my income taxes back and can buy the software. Thanks
