    It is possible to remove an existing virus with new software. Your best chance of removing all traces of the virus are to run a full system scan in safe mode, because that way Windows will only load essential files. You have a better chance of catching any traces of the virus in the Windows directory that way. To enter safe mode, press the F8 key after turning unit on or after a restart. Scroll up to Safe Mode and hit enter. Good Luck.

    After installation, you need to run "Full System Scan"

    Yes, you can. but you must find newly database anti virus from your anti virus vendor. in your lucky day the virus may be detect and removed or you must find other OS to scanning your PC via network. as my experience, after install newly anti virus not make your PC running well bcoz some anti virus cannot clearly remove virus file.my suggestion, if virus cannot removed try to reinstall windows with new anti virus
