Why do you need the full version for something that’s free? You’re a clever guy, I’m sure an illegal copy of that probably isn’t infected with anything yet.
But you’re right in thinking that Avast is the best. And it scans for spyware too.
As far as "paid" protection I’ve heard good things about Eset Nod32 for antivirus. But to check out the latest stats go to AV Comparatives, they do all the heavy work of testing out the good and the bad.
