i bought my laptop 6 mths ago from new, i stupidly used it on net without anti virus software now istalled norton and it says i have this trojan, i cannot connect to net wirelessly now and system restore won’t work, i don’t have a clue bout pc’s so what do i do? can i re-install windows to resolve everything?

    Try restoring it again. If that doesn’t work, you’ll either have to buy a new notebook or get the Geek Squad to fix it, costing you around $200.00. Next time be sure to get Webroot SpySweeper with Anti-Virus, it’s a very good product. Good luck.

    You installed Norton.
    FOOL!
    Get avast or free avg, they are better, faster and use less resourses.
    Try booting into safe mode at the BIOS and do a system restore, if not then reformate the HDD.

    Uninstall Norton and let the healing begin. ;-)
