actually all macs are so far virus free. so i wouldnt worry about paying for protection.
the only protection you can get for a mac really is just a router as it will add another firewall
No computer is safe from spam, however, Macs don’t get many virus’s because quite frankly, not enough people have them to make it worth while.
every computer is vulnerable…
its just that the people who write the virus and spyware programs, etc. really don’t give two shits about macs because about more then 90% of computers used are pc…
macs are pretty small time, so ppl of that nature just do not seem to care as much…
but, again, know that if someone wanted to write a virus for a mac (its already been done) it is possible… every computer is susceptible
