They all tell you whats wrong but you have to register and or upgrade to remove what was found. If its and online service the tech will walk you around your pc and then tell you to pay in order to remove.
Its classic Bait and Switch. one even tried to hard sale.

My key board was not accepting typing though light remained on, most probably after isertion of a virus affected floppy.. Vender changed mother board but floppy drive did not work.He copied files from floppies to a CD and I find Trozan, My Love virus after cliking files from CD

I believe my mother picked one up while Christmas shopping online, because I’m being redirected to random websites often.

I tried installing Spyware Doctor from PC tools… It detected the Trojans and claimed to delete them, but I continue to see the same websites. When I run a new scan, it shows the same trojans, as if the program was not getting rid of them. Is there some program installed that I need to get rid of in a more detailed process?

I have a problem with my computer, there’s a file I found in the folder of MY DOCUMENTS, it’s "SPIDER.SAV". I think it’s a virus, coz i try to delete this, but after rebooting my system, it was still there, I have tried many Anti-Virus, but they didn’t detect it as a virus. can someone from the group knows how to remove this.

when i was on the internet the other day, i got a few pop ups from vista antivrus. It started scanning my computer and said i has 67 threats found on my computer. is this real, or is it a scam.. it says i have to buy the antivirus software if i want to get rid of the threats. Can someone please help me. i need to know what to do.

i did a full scan with my semantic antivirus and it show a trojan virus and the status as infected, so i clicked the remove button and restarted my pc and did a full scan again and now it doesnt show it. so this means that the virus has been completley removed right? it would show in the scan if it were still there? should i still reimage the pc?

whenever i start my computer an application opens in WInRAR and it has 3 applications which are about to execute (killtaskk.dll,upload.exe,csrss.exe) i know th3ese r virus but I dont know how to remove them. pls help me i dont want my system to crash.
p.s: I have trend micro antivirus installed in my computer but still no effect.

Okay so that Antivirus software somehow got on my computer and it keeps giving me pop ups saying that I have viruses on my computer. Which I know is just a gimmick so I’ll buy the software. I looked up online how to get rid of it. The only problem is the program I need to download to get rid of the antivirus software is on the internet which I can’t get to because the virus blocks me from going online. So does anyone know how I can get rid of this software without going online? Or does anyone know how I can get through it so I can get onto the internet?

There are so many free antivirus softwares out there for Mac but I want to know which one is best and why. There are so many similar questions on the yahoo answers but most of them say "No one’. I don’t want this answer. I am working on Mac in my company and they use Paid antivirus software on all the macs. I just bought one Mac computer for my home it is very expensive and out of my budget so I want to use a free antivirus for this before I connect it to Internet.

Now Apple has also suggested Mac users to start using antivirus for their Mac computers. so, please don’t answer "None" or "No one" software. Please suggest me which one should I use and why and their Pros and cons.

okay so i decided to get on my laptop the other day when a security protection popped up i clicked download not knowing it was a trick. It says "Warning this website may contain malicious…" It has the option to continue unprotected or buy their antivirus software. I already have AVG and use comcast but nothing I do works. It’s preventing me from surfing the net. If this has happened to you or you know how to stop it please help! I’ve run out of options.

I’m facing a blue screen of death on Vista after virus removal. No hardware changes have been made.

It will not start normal, last known working configuration or in safe mode.

I’m thinking that the virus corrupted the master boot record. What is the best way to fix the record without reloading windows or formating the drive?
I’m at work instead of in front of the computer at this time which is why I was unable to provide the error code.

Now, I have installed software XP Antivirus 2010 to remove Trojans,
It tells more than 40 Trojans for every scanning, however, It can’t tell the path.
Was my pc really invaded by the Trojans? Should I remove the files it tells?
