When you download a "trial" version of antivirus software are you putting yourself at risk? Are they purposely installing virus’ on your computer so you, as a concerned and unaware "customer", buy their software in good faith. While they exploit the very cause that they so eagerly fight for?
badurl.grandstreetinteractive.com is killing me! I bought a used laptop at a yard sale (for cheap) and I apparently got what I paid for. How can I get rid of this virus without being able to connect to the internet? Everything on there is expired.

When I went on the internet, I went to this site which linked to this link: http://scan.antivirus2008scanner.com/110050/4/?q= It said that my computer was infected, but when I did a full scan of my computer with ThreatFire, it said nothing was wrong! Is this just an advertisement to buy a antivirus software or is my computer really infected?
Okay, so my laptop is giving serious problems. First of, I have an Acer Aspire 3050 with Windows Vista Home Premium installed. One day back in the beginning of August I restarted my computer (which I rarely do, I prefer to hibernate) and when it turned back on… boom! It wasn’t working. I tried doing everything, from restoring it to a week before, un-installing programs and even running virus scans. I should note that I did all that in Safe Mode since the laptop was having trouble opening programs, the mouse pointer would flicker when I ever I tried moving it, whenever I closed the monitor the laptop would remain on but not show anything on the screen, and it was literally unable to turn off, restart, or hibernate. I would have to take off the battery in order to get it to turn off. After about a week of not using it cause of the problems, I turned it on and it was working just fine again. At the end of August I restarted the computer again and the problems came back. This time, however, I realized that the problems would disappear if I removed the battery and just left the laptop connected to the external power. Of course, putting the battery back in would result in problems all over again. I’m not sure if the problem is with the battery of with the drivers cause the battery does what it has to do. It charges and when the computer is not going through problems I can disconnect the external power and the laptop continues working just fine.Additionally, the battery system icon that appears at the bottom right corner of the screen doesn’t appear when the computer is working but when it isn’t working it is there but it indicates that either the battery isn’t in (when it is) or that it isn’t charged (when it is).
So what do you guys think? Is the problem with the battery or with some driver? Or is it something else? And if it is with a driver how can I fix it?
I should mention that the computer worked perfectly fine in Safe Mode. Another reason why I am unsure that the problem is with the battery.
Holding down the power button did nothing at all. The computer would not turn off. It seemed like it tried but would stop half way and then stay that way. I sometimes gave it hours to turn off on its own, still it wont. I will reemphasize that I never removed the battery and the external power at the same time. When I took out the battery and let the computer connected to the external power then it would turn off the way it should. And I am only using my mouse pad that came with the laptop, nothing else.
I’m looking to know what is the best anti virus to buy
I am frustrated, I have been infected with a Trojan Conhook, & WINTRATBHO.. I have tried every tool available. I personally would like to sue this company for my time & frustration & its attempt to "Blackmail" us into buying Their product to remove the virus THEY Installed.
ANTISPYWARESUITE. www.antispywaresuite.com
Are there any current patches or resolutions to these hideous attacks? They ruined my Other laptop. This is not the system that is Infected to my knowledge.
They hijacked my IE Browser, I constantly get a message about "working Offline"
I personally feel these types of Malware companies that force people to buy & use their software should be accountable for the destruction, frustration, time & effort used to get rid of THEIR worms & viruses. I’d love to join a Class action lawsuit.
Is it really worth the money or are they really not??
I have had Norton before and they just seem like a waste of my money,to me they always kept popping up and then shutting stuff down when I did not ask it to. Finally I asked our computer guy at work and he said that they are really a waste of money and that they all just try to freak you out bad enough to think you will get a virus so you go out and buy the software…
I have never gotten a virus and then again I never open up any emails that I don’t know who they are coming from.
What do you guys think??

i have a PC computer right now that i use for everyday stuffs but recently i have been thinking about getting an apple for my college work, because it seems like my current one is too big/heavy to be carrying to school all the time and am liking the small portability of apple and the fact it doesnt have virus (i think?).
what do you think i should do, buy the apple or continue using the PC? am confused about it. apart from the heaviness part, any other good reasons to switch or stay? thanks!
My desktop computer is infected with spyware. It has this Total Security 2009 installed on it and i never put it on there. I have Norton 360 on the computer & I can’t open it because it’s infected. Hey everyone,
My laptop has had this Virus for some time now..And i can’t figure out what the hell to do with it.
I Don’t wanna have to buy some Crap for it to make it better i’ve spent enough money on that.
I cannot connect to wireless internet or anything, can’t even system restore. There must be something i can do to get rid of whatever it is some way using just my laptop.
Someone have any good info?
I’ve had this thing for a while now and when I saw something similar on the yahoo features, I thought that might be what it is. I get http://i43.photobucket.com/albums/e393/Dtectivconan/warning.jpg this message along with that X every now and then. I’ve removed it before but it came back obviously. My computer also shuts down when this X appears. I really need a program to rid of this so I can work on projects knowing my computer won’t spontaneously shut down on its own. I have CC, Ad-Aware, and Spyware doctor but the infection stops Spyware doctor from working.

I bought Mcafee antivirus and when i put the disk in it won’t read. The disk works just fine on my mom’s computer. I had windows live onecare before but I uninstalled it thinking that was why it wouldn’t read the disk. I called Mcafee support and they told me to get a new disk so this is the second one with the same problem. Any ideas on how to get this to install?
yes I have already cleaned the disk drive,
I hve got so many viruses on my new laptop and now i need to wipe it clean and start again.
I have backed up all my music, photos and school work but now I need make sure i use the recovery disk properly.
I’ve never had to do this.
Do i just put it in and boot from dvd drive? I want it fully cleared so i can start again with virus protection from the start.
If no one knows how to help with this problem. Can someone please tell me if i am able to format the hard drive without putting vista back on? so I can buy a new copy and install it the normal way? Or maybe I could install XP instead…
I want to completely clean out my computer like it explains in this question>> http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20070317153121AAe4dge
but i don’t want to do it unless it removes all the spyware and viruses i have.
and i have my Windows XP home edition cd so i can put that on afterwards. so please if you know can you help me out.
ok so my computer has been running really slow
(Took Me 8 Min. To Get Here Lol)
so i tried Kaspersky Online Scanner…
I Scanned My Computer And It Said
Threats Found: 3
Infected Objects Found: 11
So When I Go To "Report" The Infections In order Are
- Trojan-Downloader.Win32.Mufanom.cxm
- Trojan-Spy.Win32.Agent.azpj
- Trojan-Spy.Win32.Agent.azpj
- Trojan-Spy.Win32.Agent.azpj
- Trojan-Spy.Win32.Agent.azpj
QUESTION!!!
what is the best way to get rid of these infections
i am in dear need to save my PC
and im looking to get rid of these viruses for free if possible plz help!
I’ve tried a AVG free and A Squared free but they don’t get rid of the ‘zlob’ virus. What are some cheap/FREE antivirus/anti-trojan software that are effective?(and I don’t mean "free scan" then you have to buy the software to get rid of infections..)… PLEASE help!!
