My uncle and I bought 2 laptops in the last 2 days..yesterday we went to best buy and bought PC Cillin Anti-Virus software(disk)..i was wondering if i will be able to use this software on BOTH laptops–both Laptops need protected..thnx (this question is under beauty because no one ever answers under the computer category, lol)
It has somehow attacked my computer. Please help
My HP Pavilion dv 6500 won’t turn on, the blue light where the charger plugs in but the power light by the wireless switch. I tried using a different battery but it still doesn’t work. I used multiple reliable virus protectors. Please help me i don’t want to have to buy a new Laptop.
I’ve tried alot of the free download programs and they are no giving me the option of REMOVING them.
If I quarantine them does that remove them or just holds the spyware and stuff into a folder?
I am currently using Spyware terminator and so far I’m not to sure it’s doing the job right.
I am done with trial versions, I am getting the real deal this time. What do you guys recommend and what are your experiences with them? Thanks!
I’m not sure, I’m hoping you all will know. I got a virus from my laptop, with the USB drive plugged in. Then, to test it out to see if the USB drive still worked, I plugged it into the school computer and it read: H:/ denied.
So I went back to ‘My Computer’, then right clicked the removable disk, and clicked ‘format’. It took less than 30 seconds to format it, and as I went back to check on the disk, nothing was there, as I opened it. No H:/ denied, no information was stored, it was as if it was completely new.
I’m not sure if it’s removed the virus completely, but it did destroy all my files that were saved onto there.
Can you guys help me make sure (the school security’s network has a high level of security as compared to my normal computer)? I don’t want to risk getting a virus on my new laptop if I use this flash drive. I’m too scared of plugging it in and running an anti-virus scan on it since it’s already plugged into the computer, it’ll infect it immediately before I open to read the files.
I’m not sure if it’s been deleted or if it’s safe to use. Should I just buy a new one? If so, any recommendations for a flash drive that is affordable, durable, long-life with use (can withstand a large amount of uses with saves). This one that I’m using is a PNY attache 4gb, I got it last two years ago for at Best Buy.
Are you extremely 100% positive that if I formatted it, which I hope I did… Right-click format, and then a window shows up and there’s a process completion bar and it takes 30 seconds to it’s completion, it was formatted? I hope it is, I don’t want to spend another on a flash drive. Thanks. 
I have Yahoo Anti-Spy, which occasionally catches some spyware on my computer, but when I use an online scanner, there are lots of other things that are hidden on my computer. How do I get these infected files out of my computer without having to buy antivirus software? Most of them are in "hkey" files. Thanks.
My computer is full of viruses. It barely boots up and when it does everything absolutely freezes up. When it was somewhat working it was extremely slow and froze up quiet often. Now its to the point to where it just freezes up right off the bat….Any suggestions would be apprecitated.
I have an e-machine I bought in 2006.
I bought a Toshiba Satellite A135 in April of 2007. I used it mostly for my college essays and research papers. In July, I put it away in my bookshelf. I did not need it until this month and now when i try to charge it, it will not charge. When i try to turn it on, it will not turn on. The Charger indicator on the laptop will not turn on and i really do not know what else to do. I was thinking about getting a Macbook since i would not have to worry about it catching a virus, and because it can be used with my optimum online modem via the ethernet port. I’ve never owned a MAC BOOK, but i’ve heard a lot of good things about it. Will the transition From Windows To Mac be difficult?
I use Anti virus software for many years.At first I was a big fan of Mcafee and Norton until I discovered Kaspersky.I try to scan a computer with Mcafee and it didnt found nothing.I tried with Norton and it only found suspicious cookie.
Then AVG found 5 virus and finally I tried Kaspersky. It was able to delete more than an 100 virus that other antivirus couldn’t find.
My only problem is that this software come from Russia, a country where international laws make local criminal laugh.Russians are among the best programmer in the planet on top before Chinese and Indians.They are the top coders and every years they beat north Americans,Europeans and chinese at problem solving competition.Most devastating modern computer virus come from russia.
All this make me scare that Kaspersky can be a spyware itself .and there is no organization that supervise softwares.I use it for a month,everything was great until the trial finish and I didnt purchase it.After that my computer became unsuable.
Have anybody had problem with Kaspersky after their long trial?Is there any U.S organization that study those foreign software to know if they are not dangerous for people?It look like its a very powerful anti virus and I would buy it but strange thing happend to me last time I use it.I want to be sure its not Kaspersky fault,anybody had similar problem?
Those answers are very reassuring but does Kaspersky allow Americans or any foreigner to examine their source code?Many software company refuse such possibility,Microsoft is among many like that.
Examining the behavior of a software cannot guarantee that the software isn’t smart enough to behave in an certain manner to avoid being detected.Some program are even able to recode themself to modify data.A complicate security software like Kaspersky can easily have power on the resource of a computer to modify anything,including itself.
I got spyware on my computer. On my other account i cant go on the web or do nothin on it. Im on my sis account rite now. Oh yeah and my background has a Warning pic that just appeared and replaced my orginial pic. Anybody know a program i can remove this spyware or Virus. Watever it is. PLZZZZ HELP!

I have an Acer Aspire One laptop. I wanted to know if there were any free anti virus protection sites on the internet. I would buy a virus protection program over the internet but I do not own a credit or debit card. I also can’t not use CDs with my laptop. Any suggestions???
Everytime i get on the internet i get a pop-up that says something like "warning your computer is infected..please click ok for a free online scan". I also get tons of other pop-ups. I’ve downloaded numerous software & tried all kinds of scans but none of them are completely getting rid of the virus. Some of the scans I run always find something called a trojan.agent & trojan virtimode….whatever they are…but they never delete them. Please help!
i need to remove them for free is their anyway to completely remove them without a trial version software that i can get for free
Mac book, bought in August, I’ve been using a free program up until now, I need protection that is still affordable
And for the record, I never download music of movies illegally or anything, I just want virus protection INCASE something makes its way thru email or something
So Norton came with my new computer and my trial is going to end in a few weeks. Is it worth buying it? Can I go to the store and buy a CD so i don’t have to continue to pay or something for years? I’m just trying to take care of my computer. Is there any free antivirus software that works well and that I can rely on that I can download off the internet (now I’m more conscious about downloading things if I’m not sure the sites legitimate)? I kind of always trusted AVG (free edition) but I’m not so sure anymore since my last computer died and the person that recommended it to me got a virus on the first computer and their current computer is slower than a turtle. I want to do what’s best for the computer so it can be among us for many year down the road yet money is tight. What do you think is the best thing to do?
She wants to format her laptop as she has loads of viruses etc but she has lost all the discs that came with hers. Can she use mine? We bought the exact same ones at the same time…
I have Yahoo virus and adware protection but for some reason everytime I delete these viruses they come right back and it is slowing down my computer, and I do not know if yahoo has an update for these viruses and adware.
about a year ago, i purchased webroot spy sweeper. this software was pretty sweet. it kept virus outta my system, but for some reason, the sweep timing (where they check for virus in my pc) became longer and longer and soon it took about 5 hours to do a whole system sweep. so, i didn’t have much time to sweep my pc anymore. also, this product subscription has expired. now it’s hardly working. virus are over taking my pc like crazy. i need a new software to keep my computer safe again. any suggestions? what do you guys use to keep your computer virus free? if possible, i would like to have this software free to download because i can’t go out to buy any software any time soon. thanks so much.
Im looking for an all in one program to keep my computer safe. Im using Windows XP. If their isnt an all in one free program, than can you please mention some other free programs that will help protect my computer from everything. Also they would have to be compatible programs. Thank You.
i want to know how i could get it back onto my laptop ? a few weeks before i rebooted it i bought norton antivirus now i only have the trial one on my laptop and i entered my product key and it said i cannot use it!!!!!!!!!!! please help ???
hi yesterday my pc was infacted a virus, after that i cant open my folder option, registry key and even when i press the clt+alt+del it says " task manager is disabled by Administrator".
after a while i found a notepad file in my desktop its written "Hi User, how are you? Valo Achoto? ebxbev@yahoo.com".
whatever i try to delet the file it comes again in my desktop………and the writtiing it continus its line with the same word "Hi User, how are you? Valo Achoto? ebxbev@yahoo.com"
the bigest problem i have after this infaction my pc turn off automaticaly.

i already format my full pc and install the latest kespersky antivirus and even update it, already install the spyware doctor nd update aswell but after half hour the virus comes again to my pc desktop , and am having the same problem again the same result…………
