ok well i guess i downloaded a song and then all those red files came up and now i ran avg and says virus detected. but it doesnt really heal anything.
if i make a new system will it help?

Hello People.

Our Toshiba laptop two weeks ago became infected with more viruses then ever, even when I have removed several from the laptop myself (which are painstaking and time consuming as to avoid destroying it). We had no single way of how to determine where the viruses where coming from. All the laptop does now once we turn on the power is load up untill we see either the Toshina or Windows logo and then turns off again and then turn itselfs back on again. Last time a relative was on the laptop in safe mode searching for a file name. I suggested that at all no file should be deleted untill I looked into it. They said that none were deleted, but I am still full of doubt, could you tell me can the software that assists in the starting up of the laptop be deleted or can it be corrupted to prevent us from using the laptop. Can it be fixed. Its a horror since theres bills to pay for the broadband and We cannot buy a new laptop now.

What can be done?
Free sites cause the problem and other family members failed to keep the filters and virus protection software on. Once it it dealt with we will increase the memory and have individual internet accounts with settings that will not be changed. The day before it happened a younger brother stopped deleting the temp internet files, when I said it should be done after closing every window and now the laptop needs to be scanned and searched for odd files daily.

My computer did an iphone update 2.1 and an HP update and then my computer just about crashed at night??? Aniti Virus XP 2008??? Was installed and i can’t uninstall it…it just keeps saying that i need to pay to have the virus’s removed…my screeensaver is disabled and says that i have a virus and spyware on my comp. When i log on the the internet it says i’m unprotected….

I can’t install norton because there something wrong when i install it…it says error…"norton couldn’t help with this themselves." I’ve never had this problem in all the years i’ve worked with computers…..

Does anyone know any good free programs for now? That will remove the virus? Aside from norton? Also…i can’t do a system restore.

I have a brand new Acer Aspire 3620 laptop. I bought it in early April. Every thing was fine until I booted up today. The start up menu and task bar which are normally on the bottom of the screen appeared on the right hand side vertically. I tried everything to get the menu and task bar to move back to the bottom of the screen but I can’t. By everything I mean I have gone into every program and file. I figured I could restore my computer back a few weeks. I tried and got the message "You cannot restore back to that date." (I’m using the dates that are in bold). I tried a number of different dates but I would get the same message everytime. Could this be a virus? Can I fix it? Thanks for any help you can offer.
I just wanted to thank everyone. My task bar menu is back to normal. It was all about finding the right spot and then clicking and dragging. Thanks.

I tried F-secure anti virus for 90 days. I tried to remove this program from my PC but I was not unable to do so. What do I needd to get rid of it.

my laptop is dell 640m. i bought it from saudi arabia. the "s" key appears once in a while and it really hampers my work. it can fill an entire page when im using MS word. is this caused by some kind of virus? it also produces a crackling sound inside my computer.

I was searching for some pictures on google image search until I saw a really scandalous celebrity image. In a fit of curiosity, I clicked on it and it redirected me to a porn site. I quickly stopped running javascript, went back to the previous screen and deleted my history. I’m worried though, that maybe my playstation got a virus/spyware? It hasn’t been acting strange, but I’m still concerned. How do I find out? Is there any way I can run a spyware/virus check? Is there anti-spyware/anti-virus software I can get anywhere? (I update my Ps3 regularly-would I have downloaded the Trend-Micro anti-virus automatically? - I bought the playstation last month). Thanks

I found a used laptop that I wanted to buy. Its 0, and its a Hp. I may be buying it tomorrow. But I’m not sure if I want to buy it, because I don’t want to have problems with it right away. Like downloaded software that I don’t want. Or any viruses, and stuff like that.

So Im asking, if there’s a way that I can get rid of all that crap I dont want, right when I buy the computer.

I just bought my 17 year old daughter a laptop and am wondering what would be a

I’ve been using AVG but all it picks up is tracking cookies.
I’m pretty that my computer is infested with other things because i’m always downloading stuff from limewire etc.

What’s a program that i can download that picks the majority of viruses and spyware?
One with a free trial so i can see how well it works before i buy it?

Should i buy the microsoft programs as well?

Seems that Virus & Spyware programs can find the viruses,programs, etc, but if they are running or in memory, even though the programs tell you where the culprit is, you can’t delete them as you get warning messages that program is in use. Is there any program that can find them, reboot the machine and then get rid of them before WIndows boots up again.

I have just started using macbookpro always used to use windows laptops and pc’s I’m confused as to whether I need to get virus, hacker, spyware and protection for all other risks, i want to use the internet to buy things and check bank details but haven’t so far as have always had norton or simialr on pc’s and have nothing on my mac!!! Please someone help me to sort out my problem. I’m constantly getting the Virus Alarm alerts and popups in every few min. i scanned my pc from my reliable antispyware security but it found some cookies not any virus. i googled then i found the virus alarm is a fake software but i didn’t install it on my pc. if you have any solution then please assist me to remove this spyware asap!!. thanks in advance

Its best NOT TO USE YOUR PC until you buy decryptor, otherwise all your data could be lost forever

Now i am unable to open any file , either JPEg type or even a word document.
