What is the best anti-virus softare to get? I have heard of AVG, Norton, McAfee & Avast, any good?
Also, is it work getting the free or paid for version? What other criteria should I look at.

Spyware Doctor may be a real program, but if there is, then there is also a fake Spyware Doctor that will give you a HORRIBLE virus that will completely destroy your computer! The best way to get rid of it is a program called UnHackMe. This program is not a virus, I guarantee it. Malwarebytes is also a great tool to help remove it as well. What happens is you may have advertisements playing in the background, you may lose part of the start menu, you may not be able to access your C drive, you may not be able to access the control panel depending on how infected you are.Click Start->Connect To->Show all Connections and Control Panel should be on the left. Create a new account with administrative privileges and download UnHackMe and Malwarebytes. Move them to a folder you can access on the other account. Log back on the infected account and run UnHackMe. Restart whenever necessary and remove only what it views as a "Bad" program. When your finished removing them all, run malwarebytes and you computer should be back to its normal state.
This is for all those people who have this bad virus in the future, however if you have a better way to fix this virus you can answer the question with that way. This will also remove most other viruses infecting your computer including any Instant Messenger viruses. Enjoy =-)
Will I need to uninstall Norton to run these programs?
I went for years without one, but my new laptop came with a 60 day trial. It seems to always be finding viruses. I just want to know if it’s legit.
I have norton, though I hear its horrible. Bah humbug, well, what should I try? I would prefer it if it was an all-in-one, and love it if you could buy it in a store.
would buying Virus Protection example Norton Anti-Virus be cost effective, or is there equivalently good Virus Protections available online for free? and if so what is the link 
I have Norton Anti Virus and it says it cant automatically remove it and needs manual removal.
im going to go shopping for a laptop..and my last one got a virus and then got dropped so i wanted to get a mac, and i was wondering should i feel gulity for even asking them to buy me an expensive mac in my junior year of high school..should i not ask them for one or wat? they always buy me wat ever i want….and i get better grades than any of my other siblings….and im going to use it for school work….but this year i have 3 C’s and 3 A’s so..idk i feel guilty…. should i feel guilty?

The other day i payed for a fake antivirus software called "Personal Antivirus". There was a message saying my computer was infected with trojans etc and that i have to buy antivirus software. So i payed for it. Later on google, i found out that it’s fake… Is there a way to get the money back?

Ok today i’m going to get my first laptop from Best Buy cause i’m going to use my mom to buy it and i will be paying it monthly for like 3 months so the interest would kill me. i have a antispyware 2009 virus treatening my computer, and cant afford geek squad and dont want to lose my computer how do i get rid of this spy ware manually?
my pc became such a pain in d a** since i let someone else use it.. its been working too slow.. it has been infested by adwares etc.. pop ups keep comin in even though i already downloaded blockers..
i would like to reformat my pc but i dont know how..

i just bought a brand new computer—working fine— now i keep getting a message saying that the computer is infected! i see an icon for some "anti-virus system pro" program (which is sending me the message about the infection) opens up and scans the computer (listing all the "infections"), but when i try to open it or delete it from add/remove programs (from control panel) or even do a search of the files—nothing comes up for this program!
I need to get new anti-virus softwear. I had McGaffee but wasn’t thrilled with it. So what are you using for 2009? What will you buy next? I have windows vista on the laptop and windows xp on the desk top computer, if that makes a difference.

I am looking for a program that will remove all my adaware, spyware, malaware and any other infected items. I currently have AVG but it only find 1 or 2 at a time. My ex mother in law had someone come and fix her computer and he used a disc with the program and removed over 18,000 adaware. How can I do this? Is there a backdoor into my computer that I can access to do this? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for reading.
